I immediately start looking for Winter and Evan when I get home. "Winnie," I yell, checking the living room for her. "Is anyone here?" The silence leaves me to conclude they're probably out.

"Okay, let's not waste any more time," I fervently nod, whipping out my computer and cracking my knuckles. I take out Mr. Forger's business card from my back pocket and commence my research.

"Let's see who you are," I mumble, squinting my eyes to read the small print on his company's website.

"Loid Forger," I read aloud. "A self-made millionaire, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He founded Eden Beginnings at the meek age of 19 with his co-partner, Frankie Franklin, all while continuing his studies at Harvard University." I nod in approval. "Ivy league man," I say, scouring the internet for other key information about him. "Let's see what else is here."

I stumble upon a picture of him with a gorgeous and tall, black-haired woman. She slightly resembles Yuri, but I don't think much of it. There's also an adorable pink-haired child sitting in between them.

"Wait," I gasp. "Is this his family?" The caption underneath the photo read 'Loid Forger, 26, CEO and Founder of Eden Beginnings, pictured with wife, Yor Forger, 26, and daughter, Anya Forger, 4.' "But wait," I skeptically say. "This was only two years ago." I try to find other information about him and his family but come up short. There are a few older articles noting their success, but nothing recent. He must've kept everything out of the news.

"Y/n!" I hear Winter enter the apartment. "We're home!"

"Hey!" I shout. "I'm in the bedroom."

It takes a few seconds before her familiar face makes an appearance in my room, followed by Evan's smiling face. "We brought Chinese!" he grins.

"Oh my gosh," my mouth waters at the sight of the plastic bag. "I'm so hungry."

"Good," Winter giggles. "What are you looking at?" she asks, peering over my shoulder.

"You guys won't believe what I'm about to tell you," I chuckle.

"Shall we talk over dinner?" Evan asks, heading toward the kitchen.

I jump off the bed and dash to the kitchen. "One step ahead of you, Lee."

"I told you two that he was legit!" Evan shouts, pointing his chopsticks at Winter and me.

"I didn't doubt you for a second babe," Winter lies, chewing on her broccoli. "So what now? Are you actually gonna work for him?"

"Why not?" I shrug. "$30 an hour to answer phones? That's easy money."

"Will you still keep your job at the cafe?" Evan asks, twirling his noodles in the bowl.
