I can feel my heartbeat in my ears

I can feel my heartbeat in my ears. The blood rushing up to my head and sizzling beneath my skin.

My limbs are weightless, I can't feel anything but the blood flowing hazardously along my body. My stomach suddenly recoiling into itself and a wave of nausea hits me on the chest.

My eyes rapidly blink as my vision blurs and waters. My hand dropping the cigar and rubbing feverishly my eyes in a attempt to dissolve the image out of my head.

I force myself, to remain calm. I manage to take double look, but I can't. The tightness in my chest begins to spread across my body and then, the anger and anxiety creep in.

My hands start to clench around the chairs handle, the cigar long forgotten on the dusty floor. Chest heaving, I take another long look at her.

The nightmare that tortures my days and nights.

Vitoria Sanlés hasn't left my thoughts, not for a single day.

I fight the inner urge to stand up, grab my gun and end everything once and for all.

"Looks like the party has started without me." Her voice shock me to my core, the deep and feminine baritone grating my brain in annoyance. I grit my teeth and clench my jaw as hard as I can in order to bite my tongue.

Now that the majority of the smoke has exited the room by the open door, I can finally see her clearly.

My mouth slowly opens as I see her, the face that I could never forget, but what astounds me is the shirt she's wearing, my shirt to be precise. The one I gave her when we slept together. She kept that thing?

"Oh no, you got here just in time." I snap out of my daze when Andrea speaks, his voice teasing and jokingly all at the same time.

My anger is slowly taking its place along side me. Just pure, unadulterated rage.

I can't stop at her, I thought I warned her to stay away.

"What the hell is this bitch doing here?" I question with a barely restricted anger. Her head slowly swivels to mine, her face looking barely interested in entertaining me. "I thought we were having a meeting, not entreating cheap whores." She laughs at my jab, walking inside the room and letting the door close behind her. And that's when I notice the two others with her. She can't even come alone. Fucking coward.

"Do you have what I need?" Andre suddenly perks up and her eyes move to mine, locked in with those forest green eyes that years later look so much darker.

I force myself to look away as my eyes are draw to the dripping mess behind her. The heavy drops of crimson staining the white carpet at her feet. The hell does she got with her?

"You know I do, this is the last time Andrea, I'm not doing you anymore favors." With that said, she throws the bloody object on the glass table. When I get a clear vision to what it is, I almost jump out of my seat. The sight of pale skin, gauged eyes and a bloated face turning what I ate for breakfast into shit, especially considering that I saw the woman yesterday night.
