The Commander has been playing chess during the last thirty minutes against Friedrich, at first he thought it would be an easy challenge, but then Y/N realizes that the second one in charge of Iron Blood is pretty smart when it comes to playing these types of games and as such he ended up losing nine matches on a row, it didn't matter what move he did, Friedrich seems to be immediately able to read his mind and as such guess his next move with ease and easily win every single time.
"Mmh...~ Checkmate... Again" (FDG)
Before he could even figure out what Friedrich was about to do, she already found a way to win as she just had to move one piece of the board to win.
"How!? I just moved one piece!" (Y/N)
"Hehe... It seems you're quite predictable, my child... Would you like us to play again? I don't mind if it's with you...~" (FDG)
"I don't think I wish to lose for the 10th time in a row..." (Y/N)
"Ah, but it's nothing complex, my child" (FDG)
Moving her right hand, she organized the chessboard, accommodating the only piece she tossed aside to win against you.
"You see... Chess is a simple game. I myself have a particular strategy that I use to always win. Allow me to explain it to you" (FDG)
"Uh... Go ahead" (Y/N)
Friedrich picked up two particular pieces from the chessboard, exposing them to you as she proceeded to explain her point.
"You have the Queen and the King piece, each one of them being the most important ones" (FDG)
Once you were able to see which pieces she got, Friedrich put them down on the board again in their respective positions.
"The Queen has many places to move while the King's one is more limited..." (FDG)
She swiftly moved the Queen through different slots in the board. It looks like she memorized somehow all the capable moves from each piece of the game even the more complex ones.
After that, she did the same but with the King piece. Then, Friedrich put both pieces together in their exact position one next to each other.
"It is the Queen's duty to protect the King piece by getting rid of any disturbance that might appear" (FDG)
To explain this curious argument, Friedrich put as an example the tower piece in front of the King and Queen pieces. Moving the Queen piece in front, she tossed aside the tower and remained in front of the King piece.
"As such... The King shall be safe under the Queen's embrace" (FDG)
'What an example...' (Y/N's Thoughts)
"The way I see it, you're my King piece and I'm in charge of protecting you from any danger, even if it means sacrificing some other pieces in the process...~" (FDG)
"I think I understand..." (Y/N)
'I hope sacrificing doesn't mean what I'm thinking...' (Y/N's Thoughts)
"Whenever you might be scared, you can always hide behind me, hehe" (FDG)
"So technically speaking, you're my Queen piece?" (Y/N)
