Kirari often awoke certain times during the night to convince herself that it was really her wife laying next to her. She would often cup her wife's cheeks to assure herself she was not dreaming.

She would often spend her time looking out the window. Kirari had the student council put up with her silence until mid-July. The members had no choice, as Kirari was still the student council president.

Regardless of how far apart they were, Kirari Momobami had chosen to wait by the window each day. Despite the fact that Kirari couldn't hear the familiar voice of her wife, she spent her time trying to remember what Y/N's voice was like. Instead, the Momobami clan head chose to lament on the pasr.

"You know she's not going to go back sooner, seito kaichou." Midari said as she approached the silent president.

Would they still be divided by the place they lived? Would it be like heaven and land upon them?Did she really have no chance of ever holding her wife close once more?

For a moment, she deduced that the two of them felt like the sun and moon, destined to meet at a certain time only. An eclipse, a temporary meeting.

And when fate took her wife away from her. Though it hurt Kirari Momobami to set the Moon heiress free. She was dearly reminded that she'll always go for where Y/N could be happy and at peace.

Her wife was above all the plans and schemes. After all, Kirari Momobami's priority was Y/N's welfare.

"Thank you for returning to me." Kirari whispers in her wife's ear.

----------

"You called for me?"

Kirari walked inside the Momobami Estate's library. Y/N had been quiet than usual but the Momobami clan head did not worry about it as her wife was frequently a quiet individual.

Y/N motioned for her to close the door and take a seat. Kirari Momobami sat face to face to her wife. Y/N handed her the very same contract they had signed on their wedding day.

Y/N had come to the conclusion that there would be a time where she'll be waking the next day, without Kirari right beside her. The past will just be a memory and she then  would look back at all of this

And wonder why I returned here, just to watch you disappear?  Y/N thought.

"I called you here because we needed to discuss some terms and conditions. Before i begin, Kirari." Y/N inhaled deeply before continuing. "I won't get in the way between you and sayaka anymore. All i ask is you fulfill your duty to me and we shall part ways."

Kirari's eyes widened in shock. She had not expected her wife to ever utter those words. Nonetheless, she kept her mouth shut. She opened the file slowly.

"It states that the two of us are not allowed to part ways until I give birth to one Momobami heir and one Moon respectively. And after that, the two of us are free to do whatever we wish."Y/N said quietly." We will be conceiving twins through IVF procedure. The two will be separated the moment they are born. The eldest will stay with you while the youngest is with me. Do you have any suggestions or violent reactions?"

How can i breathe and let you go, Kirari?

Kirari's eyes met her wife's downcast ones."Is this what you really wanted?"

"I'm just adhering to your wishes. You've done it, Kirari. You broke me, just like you promised."

"Huh?"

"Have you forgotten your vows?" Y/N asks.

Kirari paled as she remembered every word she uttered in Y/N's ear during the wedding ceremony.

"You can keep seeing Sayaka Igarashi as you wish. However do it with discretion. Do tone it down the moment i fall pregnant, i don't want any negativity harming the heir and prolonging this marriage further." Y/N said, her tone devoid of any emotion.

So before it was too late, Y/N took the first step away. The Moon heiress knew that one word from Kirari Momobami would make her rush back to her wife's embrace. She'd just shutted her eyes and blinked back the tears that threatened to fall. At that moment, she was slowly getting accustomed to forgetting that Kirari belonged to her.

How do you go from making your loved one your solace and then just letting it all go?

Before Y/N could let her wife go, she held Kirari Momobami close to her. It was just one last time. Y/N convinces herself that this is the closure she never knew she needed.

You've found another home,Y/N thought. She could never forget how Kirari had held Sayaka close to her.

"President!" Sayaka ran to the student council president. "You're safe! I'm so glad!"

The immense fear within the student council president had caused her knees go weak and nearly faint. She would have fallen to the ground if it weren't for the student council president catching her.

Kirari could merely chuckle as she held her secretary in her arms and planted a kiss on her secretary's head. "Everything's all right, Sayaka."

At that moment, Y/N could not help unsee Kirari's secretary's hands wrapped around her future wife. It had prevented her to move for a while, still encased in shock.

Y/n had come to see her fiancée back then, and only Mary Saotome had known about her presence during Kirari and Yumeko's gamble. It was also the first time she found about Kirari and Sayaka.

It was also the first burn and heartache she felt.

Y/N stood up and left the library. However Kirari had held her hand back, thus preventing her from leaving.

"Is there a problem?" Y/n asks.

Kirari came closer to her wife and wrapped a silk scarf around her wife's exposed neck. "It's cold. I don't want you catching any sickness. You have a concert in Cheong A soon right?" Kirari attempted to change the topic.

"Oh thank you, Kirari."

"It's Rari." the platinum haired woman corrected. "Y-You always called me by my nickname."

Y/N smiles weakly. "Thank you, my buin."

It took Y/N several apologies from Kirari to continue loving her wife. Now, Kirari realized that it only took 1 mistake for Y/N to stop loving her entirely.

Up Next:

"What did you do to my wife, Sachiko?" Kirari asks icily over the phone.

"Look, Kirari. What Y/N did to herself in Korea is none of my business. If you thought i brainwashed your wife, that's simply blasphemy. If she finally had enough, then good for her."
