The couple were sitting against the bedframe on the ground, their child sleeping in their arms.
"I like this" Killian smiled, taking in Emma's scent. "I do too" Emma smiled holding Hope's tiny hand in her finger.
"She's the spitting image of you Killian"
"Aye, that's what they all say. But I think she looks more like you" Killian kissed her cheek. "Swan, can I ask you something?" He said suddenly. "Sure Jones" she sat up more pressing against his side "what's up?".
"Why was there a portrait of our parents together? Did they grow up together? Was there some conflict? What happened?" He asked.
"I don't think you're ready to hear it" Emma said avoiding the question. "Luv please, I have to know the truth" he begged.
"Okay, well..." Emma took a deep breath preparing herself to tell him the truth "your parents and my parents grew up together, when I became the dark one and went after my home village they chose to run for their own safety "
Killian looked confused "but how did they not age?". "My guess is Neverland" Emma answered playing with the ribbons on Hope's dress.
"Well... Now my whole life definitely feels like a lie" Killian sighed. "It'll get better... Or it won't" Emma said. Killian rolled his eyes "Way to be positive Swan".
Emma started laughing "yeah, well I only try". Killian put his finger against his lips "Shhhh you're going to wake to baby".
"She's not going to wake up to me laughing. She WILL wake to your mother squawking" "Emma that's not-"
The bedroom doors flew open. Alice walked in looking furious"HOW ARE YOU NOT UNDER THE SPELL?!".
"Mother I can explain-"
Emma put her hand up infront of Killian, telling him to shut up. "Alice, the curse you put on us would have killed, Killian. Now tell him the truth, why you REALLY did all this"
"NO"
"Tell him!" Emma yelled louder, waking the baby. Hope started crying, "Swan, we just got her settled" Killian groaned. "Killian your mother is lying straight to your face"
"Son don't believe her she's lying" Alice desperately said.
"Now why should I believe you?" He asked Alice "you're the one that didn't tell me you knew Emma's parents"
"Because that's not important son-"
"You're cursed" Emma blurted out
"What?" Killian asked confused
"Your entire family are cursed. And if you don't find true love before you're 21 then you die" Emma explained
Killian looked at his mother shocked, and felt betrayed "Emma, go to the docks and get your ship ready. Take Hope with you"
"Killian what are you-"
"Can you just do it! Please?"
"Yes of course" Emma walked out of the room
"This is the last time you ever see me mother" Killian stormed out
"Oh no it won't be"
