Chapter 29: "Remember?"

Killian opened his eyes "Bloody hell". He got up and took Hope with him, he started to make his way down the hall

He stopped knocked on his brother's bedroom door, he didn't get an answer so he did it again, louder. "Killian?" Liam squinted, tired and confused.

"Liam, do me a favour". He adjusted Hope "please, watch my daughter while I go do something" "do something? You're not going to talk to Emma are you?" Liam asked suspicious

"Can you just please watch my baby for me, please?" Killian practically begged. Liam sighed "yes yes, hand her over".

Killian smiled and gave Hope over "thank you, thank you, thank you", he hugged him "I'll be back soon I promise".

Killian went down to the dungeon to speak with Emma. "Swan! Swan can we talk?". Her cell was open and empty.

"Look who finally showed up" a deep voice said from behind, it was Emma, well Dark Emma, but still his Emma.

Killian spun around. "Emma!" He ran to hug her but her hand up and blocked him with her magic

"Oh no you aren't" she started to close her hand causing him to chock "do you really think that after all this time, that you can just walk back here and act like it's all okay?"

Killian looked at her confused until he noticed something in her eyes. They sparkling in an odd way. He knew exactly what that spell was - the spell of shattered sight - his kingdom was cursed with it many years ago.

"Emma whatever happened, didn't happen I promise, this- this is the spell talking" he said trying to convince her

"Oh Killian, what happened to me is that I see everything clearly now, you didn't same me in time, you let me stay here to rot, now I have to watch teenage daughter marry?!"

"Emma, if Hope really was a teenager then why am I just the way you saw me when we met?" Killian asked

"Magic exists you could have used that!" She scolded

Killian stood there "do what you wish with me, but only after I prove to you that Hope is still a baby, please" he begged

"Fine, take me to her" she agreed, expecting him to be lying and fail.

The walk to his little brothers room was long, but Killian shortened that by walking quickly, he wanted to prove to Emma that he wasn't lying. He wanted her back.

When he got to that familiar door, he out his hand up to knock. But the sound of his daughter cried brought out his instincts to go help her.

He opened the door and walked in the room, Liam was trying to calm Hope down and he was with that girl from earlier.

"Oh thank God's you're here" the girl said relieved "she wouldn't stop crying, we're just lucky your mother hasn't--"

"Shhhhh" Emma said, "we don't know if we're safe". "Safe?" Zelena asked while Killian dealt with Hope "Emma's right, mother could come any minute" Killian agreed rocking his and the dark one's daughter in his arms.

"You two should go be the lookout, Princey and I will stay here" Emma instructed Liam and Zelena. "Miss Dark one giving orders politely? That's a change" Zelena joked walking out with Liam.

When they were gone Emma turned to Killian. He stood there nervously, "d-do you believe me now?" He quietly asked. Feeling a bit shy. Emma smiled, she loved the sweet innocent boy in him. Instead of answering verbally she planted a kiss to his lips.

He smiled relieved, "so does this mean I get to live?" He asked. "Can I hold my daughter?" She answered with a question. "Yes you can" he tried to place Hope on her arms, but she started to squirm and whine.

Emma moved her hands back, "Nevermind that was a mistake, she probably senses my darkness". Killian shook his head, "No it's not that, she just didn't get the chance to properly meet you" he explained, before he turned to Hope "don't worry lass, this is the good blond. Your mummy, she's pretty isn't she?. Just like you, it's where you get the looks from" he coed to the baby.

"Maybe the beauty but you definitely inherited your daddy's adorable little elf ears" Emma teased grabbing each of his ear in her hands. Killian frowned, "I. Don't. Have. Elf. Ears". Hope giggled, "hey! You're supposed to be on my side lass" Killian joked.

"So you remember?" Emma asked. "Aye I do" he nodded.
