Third person POV A few days laterIt's been a few days. The boys had no idea how to take care of a baby. But with the help of max, they squeaked by. Now they have everything they needed. From baby clothes, to the nursery. Marko was still painting it of course. But it was starting to look really good. They had no idea there was so much to do for a baby. But hey, they've grown on the itty bitty baby. So it wasn't hard to do anything they needed for her. She was actually a really easy baby. She slept through the day. Woke up during the night. And only cried when she needed food. And maybe cuddles from the boys. It took awhile for the boys to get used to all this. For the record, they are evil blood sucking vampires. So they weren't used to well, cuddling. And coddling over a itty bitty baby. But after these past few days. They've formed a bond with her. Even after so few days with her.
It was a parents instinct. To protect her. Or to coddle her when she was crying or upset. They have no idea how or why. Until Max explained it to them. It was the mate bond. The bond that they shared was stronger then anticipated. Very strong indeed.
"Are you ready to see your new room lulu? Huh? I'm pretty sure Marko's almost finished painting it. You know how he is. Patience makes perfect or whatever he calls it", Paul said as he rolled his eyes. Which got him a giggle out of Luna. She thought it was funny whenever they did that. She thought it was funny whenever they teased each other. Or playfully wrestled together. It was all still new to her. But she loved it. She loved it when her boys made her laugh. Yes, she has decided, they were her boys. They were caring, loving, and they kept her safe, warm, and fed. So yes, they were her boys. And she was growing to love them. Just as they were growing to love her.
"Alright guys. It's finished. But she won't be able to sleep in it tonight. Seeing as it's still drying and it could be dangerous for her to breathe in", Marko stepped out of the room. Paint covering his used shirt and hands. He made sure not to wear his usual jacket. Just in case he got it on him. But as he said that. The others raised an eyebrow at him. He sounded like a concerned mother hen or something. It was odd to see him this way. He himself raised an eyebrow at his brothers. Wondering why they were looking at him that way. "What?", he asked them.
"Dude, your totally acting like a concerned mother hen", Paul told him as he tried to hide his smirk from him. Marko just rolled his eyes at his brother. "Yeah yeah, laugh it up. I'm not acting like anything. It's just what Max told me. It wouldn't be good for her if she were to breathe it in. It's dangerous for babies", he said trying to defend himself and not sound like what they were accusing him of being. Which he kinda was. But he wouldn't admit that to anyone.
Even David raised a amused eyebrow. He didn't believe the words that were coming out of Marko's mouth. But that was because he himself was becoming this so called mother hen. But he would never in a million years admit that to anyone. He was David. The mean, scary vampire David. He wasn't soft. He was caring in his own way. But he wasn't soft.
Even Dwayne had to cover up his smirk. It was funny, funny for everyone to hide what they were becoming. Even himself, he knew what was happening to him and his brothers. They were becoming mother hens. Just like Max said they would. Wasn't in his exact words. But he said something similar to that. He was older then the four boys. Even though they weren't turned by him. He was much much older then any of them. And he knew his stuff. But seeing Marko like this. Was quite amusing.
Marko just rolled his eyes again. Why does he bother. "Do you guys want to come and see it or what?", he said trying to change the subject. Which worked. "You wanna go see your room lulu?", Paul asked the small child in his arms. Which she responded with a gurgle. He chuckled. "I'm gonna take that as a yes", he Said with a chuckle. He looked up at Marko. Silently asking him to show the way. "Follow me", he told his brothers. He was excited to show his brothers what he had done. But also nervous. Would they like what he had done?
So once he opened the door. The room was lit up with light. And to say, the three boys and tiny baby were surprised. Well Luna was just surprised to see the pretty lights and new objects around the room. "Whoa", Paul muttered softly. The room definitely screamed nursery. But it was nice. Really nice. It was definitely something lulu would like. Or what she would like in the future.
(Don't mind the name Celine, it actually says Luna)
The roses were big and beautiful. And the only sound that could be heard was the soft cooing from Luna. If they were to look at her. They would see that her eyes were lit up from the amount of excitement she was feeling. Yeah, the room smelled funny. But that was mostly from the paint that was still drying. But everything else, it was all new to her. But it was all new, big and pretty. She loved it. And she showed that she loved it. By giggling and clapping her hands together.
Marko couldn't help but smile in pride. His little lulu girl liked what he had done. Wait, his lulu? Maybe he was turning soft like the others had mentioned. But was it really that bad? Did it lessen his ego? Yes. But did he care. Not really. Not when he looked into those beautiful baby blues he loved so much. He knew now, he was ruined. He was soft. He was a softie. But he had a feeling that his brothers were becoming soft. They just won't admit it.
But soon enough, they will most likely admit it sooner or later.
He had a feeling about it.
He had that gut feeling. And most of the time. His gut feelings aren't wrong.
