Uraraka

Why is it so hard to open this fucking jar of—

POP

“Finally!” I slid the jar over to Momo. “Here’s your cherries.”

All of us girls had claimed the kitchen tonight to make Valentine’s Day treats, with the help of Sato of course. He was the only boy to be allowed in the kitchen with us. It was originally suppose to be girls only, but Toru begged us to let her invite Sato so he could help her make hard candies from scratch.

Momo was working on mini cherry pie bites, Tsu was folding origami, Mina was making cookies, Kyoka was snacking on the ingredients, and I was measuring out my sugar to make chocolate. My plan was to make the whole class and Sensi chocolate marshmallow treats, and a side batch of something different for Bakugo for getting me out of the elevator. I had a certain treat planned out for him.

“I could have gotten that for you,” Sato pointed out.

“No way!” I waved him off. “I wasn’t going to let a little jar of fruit beat me!”

Kyoka laughed, “I forget how competitive you are sometimes, Ochako.”

I made a face, “Everybody should be able to open a little jar.”

Mina giggled. “You sound like Bakugo!”

“HUH??” I flustered, “N-No I don’t! I just meant that not being able to open—oh my god, I do…”

“Ha! Looks like spending all that time stuck in an elevator with the hot-head rubbed off on her!” Toru giggled, poking my shoulder.

“They were in there all day,” Mina chimed in. “Wonder if that was the only thing that rubbed off on her??”

“MINA!!” I shouted while everyone else snickered and laughed. “DON’T START RUMORS!!”

Oh my god! How embarrassing!!

OOOOOHH!! Look how red she’s getting!” Toru laughed, “Did something happen in that elevator??”

“Stop teasing me!” I tried to be serious but started laughing with them, so I threw sugar at them.

“The whole situation must have been hard to deal with.” Tsu said, “I wouldn’t have liked getting stuck in an elevator at all. Especially with Bakugo.”

“It wasn’t bad.” I told them starting my chocolate melt. “Bakugo was just as bored as I was.”

“But to be stuck in a closed room with a boy for hours,” Mina teased.

“And both of them being single,” Toru joined in.

“And both of them being in a bad mood for BEING STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR.” I pointed out.

“Keep stirring,” Sato said to Toru. She grumbled and jumped back to the stove.

“Why is it taking so loooooong?” Toru whined, “Can I turn the heat up?”

“No, it’ll burn!” Sato stopped her from adjusting the heat.

“Alright, I need the oven!” Mina picked up her pan of portioned cookie dough. I stepped aside for her to put the cookies in the oven. As she closed it and set the timer, she leaned over my shoulder and whispered, “Was there any good moments?”

I blew air in her face. “Shoo.”

Of course, there were good moments, but I wasn’t ready to tell her that. I didn’t feel like dealing with an overdramatic Mina if I told her the things I enjoyed. She knows I liked Bakugo a while back, but I haven’t told her how much I’ve been thinking about him lately. Ever since yesterday, I’ve not only gotten more comfortable with him around, but I’ve gotten even more interested in him. He shared things with me that I know he wouldn’t share with most people. How weird it must sound, I really enjoyed getting stuck in an elevator with him.
