Thomas Wheeler was a quiet boy. The Wheeler's knew the reason behind the sad eyes and quietness.
Although the Wheelers didn't seem like it, they were accepting of Thomas' sexuality. Thomas had always thought there was something wrong with him when he came to terms with the fact he was gay.
When his whole family had found out, he thought he would've been killed right there. But they were quite accepting.
That didn't stop the horrible depression Thomas came to develop when he started getting bullied freshman year. Even though only his family knew, there were still 'rumors' that flew around. Thomas Wheeler was different from his supposedly 'perfect' family, and for him that meant he was the best target.
