━━━ "SO, STEFAN TURNED YOU WHEN YOU WANTED TO DIE?"

"Mm-hm."

"Did not see that one coming."

"He didn't tell me that either," Lexi hummed, "it might be why he turned his humanity off in the first place. Doesn't make me hate Damon any less though."

"And it shouldn't," I shrugged, and I noticed how Damon wasn't even fazed by the fact that I, according to him, was talking to thin air. I supposed he had gotten used to it. "He's still a dick."

Damon looked up with narrowed eyes. "Who are you talking to?"

"None your business," I sassed and he rolled his eyes before finishing the rest of his bourbon and filling another glass. He didn't mention it at all, but I think the whole situation was getting to him—especially when Stefan informed him mere minutes before hand that he wasn't going to go on anymore.
