"Why were you at the party?" Steve questioned me, he had been sitting in the living room all night after presumably getting washed up because he was free of blood and the cloths he wore last night.
"I wanted to have some fun, I just got back and it's summer Steve, I'm 16, I can handle myself! I don't always need my big brother watching over me!" I yelled at him before stomping to my room and slamming the door.
"ReyRe-" it was shut in Steve's face before he could finish.
"GO AWAY STEVE." I cried, seeming to work as i heard his footsteps get quieter and quieter.
"I'm going out with Dustin, I'll be home at 7 and you better be here." Steve says sternly making sure I could hear before leaving the house.
I decide to call Nancy and tell her about these events but she wouldn't pick up, probably at Jonathan's house. I ring up Jonathan's house and to my surprise, Joyce answered.
"Hello Byers resident's!" She says.
"Hey Ms. Byers! It's Rey Harrington." I say happily, "I was wondering if Nancy was over there?"
"No she is not, Jonathan isn't home either, if you see him tell him to come home." Joyce responds with a hint of worry in her voice.
"I will Ms. Byers, thank you." I say softly before she sighs.
"Call me Joyce, also if you need anything Rey call me. I know it's hard coming back after two years." She sympathetically said.
"Thank you Ms- I mean Joyce." I laughed and hung up the call.
Nancy did mention the pool, maybe I should check it out?
I get out an outfit and bikini, slip them on and head to Hawkins public pool.

I get to the pool early so it's less crowded but to my surprise there were a lot of people. I make my way around and finally find a nice shady spot to relax and read a book. I felt like a middle aged woman with a sundress on and reading a book, girls start to get up and fix their hair and bikinis. Confused by this I continue to watch what every girl is getting nervous over.
Billy walks out and makes his way to his lifeguard post, I start to look around for his post and realize his post is beside me. I sink down not wanting people from school seeing me here. I pretend to read my book as he walks by.
"Harrington?" He stops by my chair and looks at me with a curious glance.
"Hargrove." I say not taking my eyes off of my book.
"You're supposed to look at someone while they speak to you, kind of rude Harrington." He snuggly said with his hands on his hips.
"Don't you have a job to do Billy?" I spit out at him hoping he would leave me alone.
"Oh I have a lot of things to do, your moms on that list for tonight." He smirks and starts to walk away. I roll my eyes and get up to change seats as I didn't want to deal with his nasty mouth the whole time. Once I was at the opposite end, some girls excitedly took my spot to try and flirt with Billy. Eventually I fall asleep under the warm sun and with the background noise of a crowded pool, relaxing surprisingly.

"Hey, your legs are going to get burned." A voice says in my ear.
"What?" I say groggily, I come face to face with Billy leaning down towards me. Seems like every girl at the pool is staring at me with death glares.
"You're legs are going to get burned sweet cheeks." Billy whispers to me and touch's my red legs. I pull them back into the shade.
"Oh, yeah, I fell asleep.." I look down shyly.
"Pool Party at 9, be there." Billy says then walks away. I figured I should get a tan now if my legs are, I cover my already burnt legs and try to suntan evenly. After another hour of that, I pack my things and head back home.
