I stood on a balcony leaning against the railing as the stars shone brightly in the sky. So I'm really dead and apparently a ridiculous angel.

After I figured out what Kimberly was trying to tell me, I took off. The door just stood open.

I had to get out of there or else I'd go insane.
I needed the break.

So here I am, leaning against the railing with my head in my hands as the stars above seem to laugh at me. Rachel.

I have to make her let go of me..

I took my hands off my face just to look into Kimberly's brown eyes. My heart skipped a beat, but nothing surprises me anymore. "What do you want?".

"Me," she began, flying over the railing to stand right next to me, then leaning against it as well.

I stared at the beautiful shimmering wings. You are truly stunning. Wow.

"You have.." I couldn't speak any further because Kimberly suddenly gave me a sweet grin. "Wings? I know. Would you like to touch them?".

I didn't need to be told twice.

I held out my hand and Kimberly made a face. "Please don't be so rude. You are sensitive. Kind of like a private area".

A private area?
I raised an eyebrow, but this time stroked the rather soft wings.

"They're beautiful." Kimberly grinned and pulled herself onto the railing before her wings vanished on their own. "You have them too, as well as skills."

"And how do they appear?"

"By willpower." She looked up at the stars, but then smiled and reached out her hand to me. "Come on. I'll show you."

Is that such a good idea?
At least I have nothing to lose because I'm already dead. So it can't get any worse.

So I took her hand. Kimberly fell backwards and pulled me down with her into the endless depths. I wanted to scream, but the wind slammed into my face so hard it was completely impossible. Kimberly still held my hand tightly as we got closer and closer to the ground.

What should I do?
How does the wing work?

I hate her for just letting me jump in the freezing water.
I narrowed my eyes and then I felt a pain in my back. One violent twitch and before I knew it, I was flying.

My gaze fell to Kimberly, who also had her wings out.

"You've got it baby," she said, grinning, and flew back up, offering to offer me to follow her.

"Wait," I muttered before chasing after her, and it all works with sheer willpower.

It's crazy, an incredibly beautiful feeling.

I am very grateful to her, although my problems are nowhere near solved.

Once in the room, Kimberly sat right on the bed and played with her hair. A few days have passed and Kimberly has been training my skills.

I could now summon the wings and walk through walls if desired.

I could carry things around telepathically. it was crazy
Did I mention that I could go through portals to wherever I want to go?

Only the people couldn't see me, no, Kimberly explain to me that I could only show myself for 24 hours, but then never again.

"Are you ready?" she asked me as I sat down next to her.
I knew what she meant by that, but I'm really not ready for that.

"Who could ever be willing to do something like that?" I asked her. She put a hand on mine. "You can do it, Danny. I'm here if you need me."

Then she kissed me on the cheek before I call the portal. "I love her".

"And she loves you, that's why it's so hard."
