"Hey, love..." EJ called her. They're in the balcony of their room. It's four in the morning yet they're already awake. Well, EJ has work to do and Gazchela couldn't sleep so she said to join Josiah on what he's doing.
Gazchela looked at Josiah.
"Oh?"
"What did you do with ten million in just a day?" he asked. Gazchela yawned. "I'm just asking."
"I gave it to my friend's family. Iyong mga nakasama ko sa selda."
"Can you tell me about them?" Josiah asked. Gazchela nodded. It's been a month since Gazchela was out from the jail...and both of them are always happy na magkasama na sila.
"At first...they attacked me but I can fight kaya napatumba ko rin naman sila so after that...they didn't harm me...but then, time just flew and were always together kaya doon na nag-start silang kausapin ako hanggang sa naging magkaibigan na nga. We shared our experiences about why we're in the jail...then, they talked about their family." pagkwento ni Gazchela at payapang sumandal sa balikat ni Josiah. EJ found it comfortable when she lean.
"Hmm..." he hummed for her to know that he's listening even though he's browsing into something on his laptop.
"I wanted to talk about my family too...but I don't have any...then, you all crossed in my mind. Kinuwento ko kayo isa isa, simula kung paano tayo lahat nagkakilala...when they know my story, they teach me different things, they become my mom and my older sisters. Tinuruan nila ako ng mga gawaing bahay, paano magluto, magtanim at kung ano ano pa." Gazchela chuckled. "I gave their family a little help for a little appreciation sa mga nagawa ng mga naging nanay-nanayan ko don."
"You always got into fight...sino ang gumagamot sa'yo?" hinaplos ni Josiah ang ulo ni Gazchela bago halikan.
"May surgeon doon na babae...she's the one who treat me. Alam niya naman na ang kondisyon ko. She handles me well."
"What's her crime?"
"She killed her husband's affair nung nagpa-surgery daw ng kidney. She took her heart." napakamot ako sa ulo. "Nung sinabi niya iyon sa akin, mabuti na lang at hindi ako nakakaramdam ng kung ano ano kaya di ko na-feel na masusuka ako."
"Mmm..." Josiah humed.
"Kawawa siya sa totoo lang. Siya na 'yung niloko, siya pa 'yung nakulong...but I know that's not good to kill." Gazi sighed. "May mga anak siya. While she's telling her story to me, she's too worried about her kids." Gazchela knows if someone is lying or not. If someone is lying in front of her, she would walk-away and won't listen.
"Article 247." Josiah said. Agad siyang nilingon ni Gazchela. "It's acceptable that she killed either her husband or the affair. It's a law, but it's only eligible if they're married." he explained, shortly. "Or...if she can't, there's destierro, it's a correctional penalty."
Napatango si Gazchela sa sinabi ni Erich. She was proud and at the same time amazed. "They are married... Abogado daw 'yung asawa niya."
"He'll undergo disbarment by the Supreme Court."
"Eh, bakit hindi nangyari iyon?" nagsalubong ang kilay ni Gazchela. In the end, both of them talked about it. Josiah was telling her the laws and Gazchela was nodding and can easily memorize every thing.
