Change of plans (Ryoba x Mr saikou)

Chapter one

First Pov

"Oh Jokichi, What do you do to me" I whispered to myself while admiring my senpai. "Keep staring like that and you will burn holes in the fountain" I hear a voice say, as I turn around questioning how much he heard. "Ichirou you scared me something silly" I said sheepishly "what are you looking at" I sighed in relief "oh nothing, just admiring the scenery" "And the scenery being that upperclassman" I started to self destruct . I just stood there in shock for a few minutes then Ichirou left and I continued watching senpai until the bell for morning class rang.

I squished through the student filled corridors trying not to lash out every time I stepped "move out the way you idiots" I said just loud enough that everyone heard. The crowd suddenly swept to each side leaning their backs against the walls. I stood there for a moment but then realised I looked incredibly suspicious so I bolted toward the wall. The student council group walked proudly down the halls of akidemi high looking tall and proud , except Ichirou who winked at me. I wasn't too sure why but I assumed it was because he caught me staring at senpai. I looked at him awkwardly and mouthed "cut it out" and he mouthed back "Maybe , in your dreams"

I took my first class which was Literature and went to walk out the classroom when I was stopped by yet again Ichirou "What is going on with you today, usually you'd never even look at me" he smirked and a wide grin appeared across his face   "I caught you that's why" "Anyway that was not what I was going to ask" he replied "Oh do enlighten me Ichirou" I said "You see , as you know there is the annual school council buffet  on this week" "I did not know that but go on" "And I was wondering if maybe you would go with me my lady" "I will think about it kind sir" I replied jokingly while walking off "wait I didn't catch your phone nu..". I walked down the stairs hearing the clip as my shoes hit the ground. I began making my way to the fountain

I spent the rest of breaktime looking into  Jokichi's deep , memorising eyes trying to distract myself from Ichirou. Why me? Why couldn't he take any other person than me?!, I saw one of the other members of the student council talking to senpai so I naturally eavesdropped on the conversation "So do you think you can come, Its a big buffet where each member of the student council takes a friend" "Sure I will come". Senpai was going to the event I squealed internally now I had to go and now I understand why Ichirou asked me.

At lunch I approached Ichirou who was sitting in the empty classroom eating lunch alone. Usually he was flooded with students since he was such a valuable asset to the school but today was different. I watched him from a distance as he read out loud his fingers turning every page gently , as if it was some delicate journal that needed to be preserved. He was reading a book about the Sakura trees that graced our school with colour and wildlife. I finally snapped out of daydreaming when I heard a loud snap in my ear. It was him naturally snapping his fingers there with his hands nearly touching my face. The thought of this made me blush but I tried not the show it.
"Ryoba what are you doing here" he questioned
"Well I have been thinking about what you asked me and yes I will go with you" I replied we exchanged numbers and walked away.
