Change of plans (Ryoba x Mr saikou)

Chapter 14

I shoved the note in my pocket before remembering it was in fact lunch and I should get going. I quickly grabbed my book bag and pulled out a special bento that I had saved from the fair. I decided to eat under the cherry blossom tree since my senpai was running on the track in front of it.

I lay down a beautiful, embroidered picnic blanket and sat down on top of it, I opened the lid of my green bamboo bento box that I had 'borrowed' from my mother. As I took a peek inside I saw my cannister of Sakura tea and paper bag full of sashimi and basil leaves. I peered in a little compartment and found a fresh set of chopsticks and began to devour my meal.
I took this moment to people watch, I could see the school band practicing on stage, the bullies eating while listening to music, the sports team rehearsing, the school council writing , the populars sunbathing and my rival slowly choking to death. That's right I was able to poison the bento before, it truly was a beautiful sight and I didn't even have to worry about disposing the body because she was in a discreet area. It was truly amazing! (I know sumire dies in the toilets but let's just pretend) I was so lost in the trance of my delicious food and people watching, I didn't even realise that everyone was heading in.

Even when I finished my bento I somehow managed to fall asleep until I heard whispers and felt the presence of two people standing in front of me.

Third pov
"Don't you know how she walked out of the infirmary while injured?" "Well I don't know, I went for lunch and she was gone" the nurse replied "you should have kept your eye on her!" Ichirou said "I tri-" "no you didn't because obviously she was walking around aimlessly," he interrupted "I'm sorry" "You should be, if she is going to be a candidate I need her safe"

Ryoba POV
Without even hesitating I perked my head up "Candidate?" My voice croaked still a bit sleepy "for what?". They seemed to be taken aback by my sudden awakening but at that moment I didn't care, I just wanted to know what they were talking about. "Ryoba-chan," he was surprised, yet he was acting like the things this week didn't happen, "I didn't realise you were awake" well yes clearly "Look how do I put this, my father is hosting a event to see which wife he likes the most for me" at that moment my jaw dropped
