Blueprint's eyes slowly opened to the feeling of sunlight flooding the room and giving off a comforting warmth. Blueprint smiled softly and turned to see if his boyfriend was still there. Sighing when he saw he wasn't he assumed he's already at work as he slowly sat up and stretched, his joints giving satisfying pops as he did. Blueprint got out of bed and made his way downstairs to the kitchen, deciding to make himself some toast. Once his toast was done he put it on a plate and sat on the couch in the living room, turning the TV on and watching My Hero Academia.
Not too long after Blueprint saw his phone light up with a new notification, quickly picking up his phone. Seeing it was a text from Goth, one of his best friends, he opened his phone to read it.
G: "Hey, Print! It's been a little while since we last talked but I was wondering if you wanted to meet me at the café for a little? There's someone I want you to meet"
Blueprint smiled and quickly typed a response 'Yeah, sure! That sounds like a lot of fun!', but right before he sent it he paused, biting his bottom 'lip' and deleting it, thinking it seemed too desperate or like he really wanted to get out of the house. That's not what he wanted though, right? No, of course not, he was happy with his life currently and saying that might make Goth think something was wrong, at least that's what he thought. Blueprint sighed and tried typing a different response 'Sure, that sounds fun', but did that seem like he was uninterested? After a while of mentally debating with himself he decided to send it, hoping Goth didn't take it the wrong way.
P: "Sure, that sounds fun"
G: "Okay! See you in about an hour then?"
P: "Yeah"
Print let out a sigh of relief before turning the TV off and putting his plate in the sink, going upstairs to get ready. After half an hour of trying on different outfits that he thought looked like he was 'trying too much' or 'wasn't trying enough' or he just didn't want to wear outside the house he settled on a simple dusty light blue long sleeve turtleneck and dark grey pants, along with his usual scarf. Blueprint looked at the time and decided to start heading to the cafe, texting his boyfriend that he would be out first in case his boyfriend got home before he did.
When Blueprint got there Goth was already there with another skeleton that was quite a bit taller than him, making Blueprint a bit nervous, not just because he was already shorter than Goth though. The other skeleton had a slightly off white hoodie, black ripped shorts, knee-high black socks with red sneakers, and a black scarf that had a little gaster blaster skull on it. He was talking to Goth and had a slight smirk that never seemed to leave his face, it was the kind of sly smirk a jokester would have, mischievous but well intentioned.
As Blueprint approached the taller skeleton noticed him, his expressions changing to an almost curious looking one as he focused on the smaller skeleton walking towards them. Goth noticed this and turned to see what he was staring at, smiling when he saw Blueprint "Hey, Print! How've you been?" he asked, his usual bright smile appearing.
Blueprint shyly smiled in return "I've been alright, how are you?" he asked just above a whisper, never really one to be loud.
"I've been good! It's nice to see you again," Goth responded, getting a nod from Blueprint in return.
The taller skeleton smiled a bit "Ah, so you're the Blueprint my little brother has been mentioning? It's nice to meet you, the name's Raven."
Blueprint nodded again as Goth rolled his eyes "Blueprint, this is my younger brother Raven, he's been asking to meet you since I talk about you frequently." Blueprint smiled softly and waved at Raven, Goth looking up at him "Like I told you, Rae, he doesn't talk too much, but he's very sweet."
Raven smiled and nodded "That's alright, I understand some people are quiet," he joked, nudging Goth a bit who just rolled his eyes and smiled at Raven's usual antics.
"Alright let's go inside now, I'm hungry," Goth sighed as he opened the door to the cafe to sit down, Raven and Blueprint following his lead.
Little did Blueprint know, that day would change his life forever.
