His Choice

Chapter 4 - Confrontations

Blueprint walked up the semi-familiar steps to the mahogany door, hesitantly knocking on it gently. The was shuffling from the other side of the door for a little while before the door suddenly opened, standing there was the tall half God that made Blueprint's soul flutter, well, he usually would.

Raven looked down at Blueprint and immediately got worried after seeing the state he was in, there were tear streaks down his face and his normal energetic blue diamond eye lights had faded into miserable looking white circles. Raven gently hugged Blueprint, "Is something wrong? Did something happen?" he asked gently, only to be met with sobs as new tears fell down Blueprint's face as he gripped onto the taller. Raven felt pain stab into his soul seeing Blueprint like this as he gently picked the smaller up and carried him inside to the living room. Raven gently set Blueprint down on the couch before quickly sitting next to him as he tried to comfort the smaller.

After a while Blueprint slowly calmed down, now just sniffling and shaking a bit as Raven held him close. Raven looked down at Blueprint before humming softly as he remembered something, "Hey, Printy, I remember you saying that you like hot cocoa and warm apple cider, right?" He asked in a soft, low voice. Blueprint glanced up and slowly nodded as he hummed a yes. Raven nodded a little "Do you prefer one over the other?"

Blueprint nodded again, whispering in a hoarse voice "I like apple c-cider more." In all honesty he really didn't have a preference, just that he remembered his unfinished apple cider back at his house and still had a craving for a mug of it.

Raven smiled softly, "Alright, wait here for a sec," he then got up and walked into his kitchen. Once he was alone he let out a sigh, worried about what had made the smaller so upset. He shook his head slightly as he focused on making him some cider. Ten internet searches later, Raven finished and walked back into his living room, sitting next to Blueprint again, "Sorry I took so long, but I made you this," he gently gave Blueprint the bird-shaped mug, "it might not be great, I've never made warm apple cider before," he continued as he smiled sheepishly.

Blueprint smiled sweetly as he admired the mug, finding it adorable, "Thank you, Raven," he whispered before taking a small sip, his smile widening. "The mug is really cute, where'd you get it?"

Raven chuckled softly, "Not sure, one of my siblings, Silver, got it for me for one of my birthdays as a joke but I honestly love it, it's one of my favorite mugs."

Blueprint giggled softly, taking another sip, "They got you a bird mug since your name is Raven?" He asked softly.

Raven grinned and nodded, "Yeah, I can't go a birthday or Christmas without at least three things that are bird themed. I find it pretty funny as well though."

Blueprint continued taking sips of his cider, "That's cool, your siblings sound nice," he said softly, holding the mug close to him.

Raven looked over at Blueprint "You have siblings too, right? I remember Goth saying something about your brothers?"

Damn Raven and his amazing memory. Blueprint paused for a little before nodding quietly, "Yeah, I... I have a few half siblings.."

Raven tilted his head a bit, smiling softly, "What are they like? Do you guys have any running jokes or something like that?" He asked.

Blueprint hummed quietly before shaking his head, "No.. not really.." he mumbled, taking a small sip of his drink.

Raven frowned a bit and was about to continue before realizing Blueprint didn't seem to want to talk about them. Raven hummed quietly before speaking again, "So.. what made you come to me?"

Blueprint looked up at Raven, a bit confused, "Huh?"

Raven shrugged a bit, "Well, you came over in tears, and if you don't want to talk about why that's fine, but why was I the one you came to? I know you have a boyfriend, plus you've mentioned your friend, Cassis, and there's also Goth. But I'm still the one you came to. Why?"
