[A/N: Posting this while my pookie is asleep so they can wake up to this :3 Also sorry this has taken so long ^^]
Raven smiled sweetly as he walked into his kitchen, hearing angelic humming coming from it when he arrived home, "Hey, Printy, whatcha up to?" he asked softly, taking in the smell of something sweet and warm.
Blueprint looked over at Raven, shutting the oven which he was previously peeking into, a pan of cupcakes sitting on the stove to cool off, "Hey! I'm just baking a few things, I hope that's alright?" he responded, sliding the battered oven mitts off. He had only been at Raven's house for a few days but he already felt at home, and Raven was happy to see him so relaxed.
"Of course it is, your baking is always so good," he gushed, coming up behind Blueprint to give him a hug. Raven then gently rested his chin on Blueprint's shoulder to watch him start to frost the cupcakes, swirling baby blue frosting onto the vanilla and chocolate cake before spraying each with edible glitter and adding white sprinkles, setting each onto a plate once he was done with it. The oven beeped and Blueprint stepped back, putting the oven mitts on and opening the oven, pulling out a baking sheet that had golden brown cookies with pools of melted chocolate chips on it, setting it down on the other side of the stove and sprinkling them with salt. Raven lit up at the sight, reaching over to grab one and shove it in his mouth, yelping at the burning sensation.
Blueprint giggled at the sight of Raven trying to cool off his mouth while also trying to eat the cookie, "Rae it just came out of the oven," he said between bouts of laughter.
Raven whined as he finally swallowed down the cookie, "I know, but I couldn't help it! I can't resist your baking," he pouted and crossed his arms, looking like a little kid.
The thought made Blueprint giggle more as he put the oven mitts back in their drawer, closing it with a soft thump. He then picked up the plate of cupcakes and carried them over to the small display Raven had gotten him soon after they met when he found out about his love of baking, the display keeping the pastries inside fresh and keeping bugs out, "Just wait a few minutes and they'll have cooled off," he snickered, only getting a grumble in response. Blueprint started carefully arranging the cupcakes so the best sides were facing forward and each row was alternating cake flavour. With a satisfied hum he closed the display and turned back to Raven who had a lopsided grin on his face. Blueprint raised an eyebrow at the look as he walked back over, "What?"
Raven shook his head slightly and his grin only grew, "Nothing, I'm just glad you like the display," he spoke softly, the fondness and gentleness in his voice making Blueprint's face heat up.
"Of course I do, I always enjoy the gifts you give me, especially since they're always relating to things I like or hobbies I have," Blueprint said with a gentle smile, putting the plate back in the cabinet and starting to rinse off the cupcake pan.
Raven tilted his head at that, leaning against the counter, "Well isn't that what gifts are supposed to be? Stuff the other person likes? Don't tell me you've never gotten a gift that was related to something you enjoy for your birthday," he frowned.
Blueprint quickly shook his head, "No, no.. nothing like that, my papa always got me stuff I like and my dad would always get me art supplies for my birthday.. when he remembered at least. But it's just nice that you actually listen to my interests and get me stuff for them," he explained.
"What about Cayden?" Raven asked softly, a wave of regret for asking washing over him when he saw the face Blueprint made, a mix of annoyance and anger, but there was also something sadder. "Sorry, I know you'd rather not talk about him."
Blueprint sighed softly as he shook his head, "No, it's fine. But he'd usually just get me jewellery or a candle or something else I could tell he threw together last minute. I don't mind any of that stuff, I like wearing jewellery, but for that to be one of the only things he got me just got kinda.." he trailed off, not sure what word to use.
