Alex's Pov:
I sat in my room listening to music as always, trying to block out everything that had happened the day before, I'd lost every last person I could even consider a friend based on a rumour. Why does school even need to involve social interactions anyway.
You'd probably think "oh what about family, family's alway there for you" well my dad....my dads a long story. My mum passed when I was 14 in a car crash, I was in the backseat but apparently the world wasn't done with me yet....yay
I don't remember much of that day just smoke and blinding siren lights as I watched every chaotic moment unfold all I heard was a piercing ring in my ears and the way my heart began to pound when I realised I couldn't move a limb to even attempt to help her. Ever since that day my dad was a changed man, he blamed the car crash on me as he couldn't face the fact he was the one who sent my mum out in the first place, but I didn't object to being the cause because how can you argue with grief and guilt that strong.
I only had my sister but then of course she was taken from me as well, she developed a problem with alcohol and drugs overwhelmed with the pain my mums death caused her. My dad sent her to rehab and I haven't seen her since apart from the occasional birthday here and there.
I heard the sound of keys turning in the door. My body instantly froze knowing my dad was home.
"Alexandra?!"
"Yes?"
"Where the fuck have you been all day I heard you skipped out on half a day at school because "things got to much for you" grow up do you know how pathetic that sounds"
"I know it does and I'm so sorry, but if you'd just let me expla-"
I was cut off by the sound of his fist clashing against my face. I don't know why I was so shocked it wasn't like it was anything new, but every time is just as painful as the first.
As he stood there, face as emotionless as a brick wall I turned and sped up the stairs fighting back every tear that threatened to fall.
As I silently closed the door to my room I noticed that the whole thing was dimly lit up by the light of a full moon. As I walked over to my window I noticed how the stars practically looked like diamonds shimmering in the pitch black sky, two were brighter than the rest, I couldn't look away feeling completely mesmerised by something as simple as a night sky. I felt my eyes start to droop and my thoughts begin to fade. I grabbed a blanket from my bed and lay on the ledge that I'd placed there months before, right next to the window for moments just like this, I always felt so calm surrounded by stars, it made my insomnia completely melt away.
I shut my eyes, and felt myself slip away when out of the blue, my window started to shake and eventually I heard it give way, by this point I was still in bed because I couldn't decide weather or not this situation was important or scary enough for me to get out and actually do something about it. My debate with myself was interrupted by an eerie coal black figure with blinding bright eyes that effortlessly soared into my room. Before I could even process anything that was happening of course the first words I said were.
"What the actual fu-"
Before I could say any other words of wisdom, the shadow grabbed my wrist and pulled me through the window into the crisp icy cold night sky, that was the last thing I could remember before I blacked out.
My eyes started to flutter open but even though they insisted to stay shut I had to look at what was around me, the light of day pierced my eyes like blades as they wondered.
I sat up straight and only then did it kick in I seriously wasn't at home....oh my god where the hell am I and what the bloody hell put me here. I looked ahead and saw a forest that seemed to go on for miles and miles, there must be people living there who can help me get back, What's the harm? I made my way to the other end of the beach and stepped one foot inside the jungle like forest then I heard a twig snap, I instantly turned around only to have my mouth being covered by a strong not to mention incredibly dirty hand.... ew
I tried screaming but it was muffled and barely audioble .
"Shhhhh you shouldn't make this any harder than it needs to be, love." The capturer said a in a deep masculine voice.
I kicked him where the sun don't shine and bolted through the forest.
I heard a loud grunt from behind me but I didn't look back.
When I thought I'd ran far enough I leant against a tree to catch my breath. What the hell was that. Who the hell was that. And oh my god did I really run that far, yes me!!
I closed my eyes for a second catching my breath, I felt a breeze dance around me causing me to open them only to be faced with piercing green eyes and a face that really didn't look to happy. His growl slowly turned into a smirk as he looked me up and down, he had brown chestnut hair and eyebrows you couldn't quickly forget. He looked no older than 17 round about my age. He may be cute but this is creeping me out a little.
"Now that wasn't very clever was it love?" The boy said.
I instantly realised he was the same person I was running from, my body froze.
He leant down to my ear and whispered.
"You really shouldn't of done that"
Then everything went black.
