Alex's pov~

I trudged through the forest slowly trailing behind Thomas, trying to ignore the knot in my stomach. Every part of me was now consumed with a fiery hatred for Pan.

"You know we don't have to walk right, I could just get us anywhere in the blink of an eye." I sighed catching up to Thomas.

"News flash Alex, Pan will find it harder to track you when you haven't used magic to get somewhere."

"Ugh, where are we going anyway?" I asked as I linked arms with him so I wouldn't fall behind, god that boy walks fast.

"Honestly I don't know yet." Thomas stated his eyes darting around the forest.

"Why were you so stunned and breathless earlier anyway? You never got to telling me." He asked gently as he gripped onto my arm tighter as if to reassure me that it was okay to tell him.

"Well...I was talking to Felix and Pan showed up out of nowhere, his eyes looked livid but his features remained calm, we started to fight and when I was winning..as always" a paused for a second to smile smugly at my comment, but my smile was short lived when I remembered what happened next. "His eyes went from his usual emerald green, to red."

Thomas inhaled sharply. "I know where we're going now." He said bluntly, grabbing onto my hand as he started to walk faster.

"Where?"

"We need to find a certain fairy who may be able to help with our little Pan problem."

"Wait...Tinkerbell? She's real?" My voice rose a little genuinely excited by the idea of seeing her.

"Alex..are you seriously still questioning weather things are real or not at this point."

"Fair enough." I smiled.

We walked in a comfortable silence for a few minutes until we approached a rather impressive tree house.

"Hello?" Thomas shouted trying to get her attention but to no prevail.

"Hello? Anyone there?" I shouted along with him.

"Do you mind? Some people are trying to sleep here you dimwits!" A voice spat from the small wooden building.

"Aww Alex she sounds like you." Thomas laughed amused by himself. To which I just responded with a death glare causing him to stop.

"It's important!" Thomas spoke up again. "It's about Pan, his eyes turned red!"

The fairy suddenly made her way down the ladder, without a moments hesitation.

She wasn't at all how I pictured, her clothes weren't bright and twinkly, they were simply just murky browns and greens, her face and body were covered in spontaneous dirt patches, not to mention she was missing the one thing all fairies were known for having, she was missing her wings. You could tell behind her cold eyes as she stared into you, she was broken.

"Who saw this." She spoke bluntly.

"I did." I said raising my hand slightly. "I only saw it for a moment but I'm 100% certain they went a deep red."

Her eyes widened slightly as she looked me up and down. "You're Alex aren't you."

The tone of her voice worried me slightly. "Yea that's me, if you don't mind me asking, how'd you know who I am?"

She chuckled lowly. "Everyone on this god forsaken island knows who you are."

"Right...care to explain how that is?"

"You're the one who can turn Pan back to who he once was." She spoke quietly, her eyes starting to glisten.

My eyebrows furrowed together.
"You mean he hasn't always been like this?"

"Of course not, evil isn't born, it's made."

"Who exactly is he then?"

"He's a boy that wanted to be loved, he was alone and unwanted by everyone around him. His mother died after giving birth to him, causing his father to be disgusted by the very sight of his own son, he wanted nothing to do with him. So one winters night he just shoved him in a basket and left him at a local train station. He then proceeded to go home..."

She paused for a second taking a deep breath.

"He got home and then shot himself in the head

"He got home and then shot himself in the head. Leaving Pan to grow up in an orphanage were he was taunted and beaten day in and day out, but as soon as he closed his eyes and fell asleep he'd come here, to Neverland. So you can only imagine the happiness he must've felt when the shadow came to him, promising him power, and a land that he alone would rule, but that was also his down fall, he was alone. The mermaids drove him clinically insane taunting him with memories of his past, it was easier for him to not feel at all, so his heart grew darker and darker by the day and as I'm sure you've noticed Pan slowly got obsessed with the power he'd possessed, but before all this he was a boy that would've done anything to make other people feel wanted and happy so they wouldn't end up like him, he was loving and kind, until the shadow took away every good memory he ever had, and the reason Pan's eyes turned red is because the shadow has taken over his body to get the job done so they can live on.

I was a mess, tears falling down my cheeks, one by one. My mind still processing all of the things I'd just heard.

"So..umm" I chocked out. "None of what happened was actually Pan?"

She shook her head.

"Right. How do I stop the bastard."

"We'll talk about that when the time comes." Tink blurted out. "I'll see you then Alex."

She then proceeded to walk back up the ladder and vanish from sight.

"Are you okay?" Thomas asked gently pulling me into a hug.

"How am I supposed to stop all this Thomas, I don't understand what I'm supposed to do." I cried into his chest.

"You'll find out soon Alex, I promise, but whatever happens just know I love you, you're like the sister I never had." He whispered.

"I love you too." I smiled.
