Lisa's pov
"How the fuck did you survived again huh Lisa? What kind of spell do you have?—well I guess you can't scape your destiny, even though I prayed for your death that will never happen. Are you friends with the grim reaper?" Kai said that evaded my mind while standing infront of the sea.
" Maybe I was Kai. So instead of praying for my death pray for your self because I wrote your name on his list! "I sternly said while looking at him. His smile vanished for a second then laughed.
" Hm.. I guess that's a long list Lisa. Tsk tsk... "he utter then faced the sea.
" How can you be so harsh to her? To the person who's the reason why you're still breathing? "he suddenly said that made me look at him.
"You're such a fool to think that she's making your life miserable.. ." he added then glance at me.
I didn't utter a word and just look away. I turn my feet around and started to walk away.
"Lisa she didn't told me the exact reason but I'm not stupid to not realize the reason why she's still keeping you alive..." he said that paused me.
I just hold my breath then walked away. What Jennie told me is still not progressing in my mind, that leave me alot of questions.
I know she's still Jennie that I used to know but I felt that some barriers are stopping her.
'I only a-ask you one thing... That is to walk away. Walk away and never see me again but you are here! The day you left made me numb and soffucated but the day you returned is the day I'm dying!'
What did she meant by that? I need to know the truth, I need to know...
Mrs. Kim's pov
I visited Jennie's building without her knowing. I'm on the parking lot on my way inside.
*dialed Jiwon
"Mrs. Kim... What's the matter?" he asked from the other line.
"I'm on my way to Jennie's office. Did she leaved the house early?" I ask.
"She leaved last night when I left actually, I've been monitoring her since I came home nothing seems wrong but last night she left in a hurry."
"She leaved??"
"Maybe it's about her business that she said last night, but I think it's much more important why she had to leave in the middle of the night." he answered.
"Really?" I seriously utter then hanged up.
"Did Jennie came early in her office?" I asked my secretary who's behind me.
"I asked the secretary and she came here early Madam Kim. Same as here schedules."
"I feel like somethings odd about her, first she hired that Kai... Do you checked her usual schedules?"
"Ahm... After office she's heading home. Nothings unusual."
"She's not going anywhere? Stopping at any particular locations??" I asked in confusion.
"No madam." he answered.i just nodded then get out of the elevator.
The employees stopped at whatever they're doing to bowed on me as I was walking in the hallway.
"Good a-afternoon Mrs. Kim."Rubyjanes secretary greeted while lowering her head. She walked with us.
" Where's my daughter? "I seriously asked.
" Uhm...s-she's maybe in her office.. "she hesitantly utter that made me glance at her.
" You're not sure?? "I asked that made her bite her lips then look away. I walk faster towards her office.
I paused in my track when I'm already infront of her office. She's not in her table.
My secretary pushed the door opened then let me entered first.
Don't tell me she's going somewhere that I haven't know..
My eyes suddenly caught a Chanel bag under the small table to the couch then the door of the bathroom opens.
"Mom? What are you doing here?" she asked in surprised before closing the door.
"Jiwon said you left last night. Is there's something wrong?" I directly asked then sat on the couch while scanning her office.
"Uh Kai really need me and I need to check the problem with my self—but it's fine now. I already handled it."
"Uhm... Do you want coffee?" she added then grab her bag on the table before putting it on her chair.
"No need."
"Ahh..." she nodded then sat on the single couch opposite to mine.
"Did Lisa ever once contacted you Jennie?" I started to asked that made her look at me.
"M-mom... For over three years that she left the the country, Yo-you know I wasn't able to get in touched with her." she answered while looking straight to my eyes.
"I'm just making sure...I will never let Jiwon drag you in hell and I will make sure he will not, you too need to protect your secret and in order to that you have to tell me everything ." i utter.
"I-i will not compromise everything, I am keeping my promise mom and I hope you too. That as long as Lisa was away... She will be safe from him and from yo-you ..."
"I'm glad you listened to me Rubyjane. I know it's hard for you but this is my way to protect my daughter." I said then stood up, I glance at my secretary who just nodded then walk towards the door before opening it while waiting for me.
"Mom, if ever she'll return... Will you able to protect her safety? I will still keep my promise because I know what will happen... I will never betray you." she seriously said that stop my pace. I slowly glance at her who's not facing me.
"As long as you'll keep your promise." I answered before finally leaving her behind.
That's the least thing I could do to protect my daughter from the evil who brought her in this life.
