Ellie Clarke

Staring out of one of the flat windows I watch mindlessly at evidence of being in springtime, the rain patting across the glass in an almost relaxing manner which was just the thing I needed after yet another stressful shift where I hated the job people snicked at me and worse of all it was a place that my parents used as an excuse despite moving out and away from them as far as I could afford just to keep me under their stupid selfish control

"It's raining hard out there! it's bad enough waiting at the busy stop but then this country decides to pour down like this?" My best friend Ava groans walking into the flat as dragging out the last word for dramatic effect as sadly that was just part of who she is, strangers on the street could call her extra with how her personality it except I saw the really her that I love like a sister... even if she acted like a class A bitch sometimes

Rolling my eyes at her I walked away from the window frame I'd been leaning against and lazily walk into the kitchen knowing I'll definitely need a magical thing called caffeine to help me handle Ava's fluctuating mood or at least a hot chocolate

"Ava, you know I love you but don't you think it's time you need to get a hobby instead of just weather complaining?" Even from the kitchen I could still hear the groaning noise she made, smiling to myself I took a second to be proud of myself in knowing that my sarcastic truth clearly had the desired affect because I was right. With one very strong coffee in hand I walked back into living room sitting across from Ava, taking sips my coffee as she fails to acknowledge my presence or even the world around her because her full attention was currently focused on her phone

"Ellie! Good news.... We just made us plans for a girls night, so come on we need to get ready! we're already on a time crunch" she finally looked up at me as she rushes around like a mad woman "when did you sit down? wait never mind we need to get you ready, who knows you might even meet someone tonight and finally get to have some funnn" she rambles singing the last word while winking at me when she finally shuts up

As much as I hate to admit it up to a point Ava was right it and maybe it was time to pause my swearing off men phase, I'd been single for a good few months and what's the harm in one night? If my ex can announce his relationship with the woman he cheated on me with not even an hour after we broke up then I could go out there and hookup with a guy

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing now?" I looked down at my attire, I thought I looked cute wearing my black leggings and maroon oversized jumper I could easily pair it with a pair of leather boots or something "I-I thought it looked cute..."

Oh god i stuttered! Knowing Ava she's about to feel bad or blame herself for my ex being a prime example of the saying "your mum should've swallowed you"

"I'm sorry" Ava said quietly shaking her head "I promise I didn't mean it like that, it's just you're right it's a hundred percent cute and very you however this is Kleine and you know how bad Alex is with being picky about attire allowed inside his baby" now it was my turn to nod as she wasn't wrong her older brother was extremely picky when it came to what people wore in the club

"Just don't feel bad, not after you stayed to pick up the pieces an glue the back together plus its in the past, I won't let him ruin that considering it was I thats responsible for both of us having  the unfortunate bad luck of meeting him" we both chuckle at the joke which lifts the tension but it wasn't uncomfortable silence given we had friends on in the background

"Ellie... trust me when I say that even with no effort you look amazing because I mean it inside and out" her soft smile etched across her face "we just need something that's more clubbing vibes something more... I don't know" quickly giving me anything glance over "eye candy with legs and a weak at the knees face of an Angel"
