We walk back into the party. The decor is beautiful, I can't even imagine what their budget was for flowers alone. They hang from everywhere, all of them pure white.

A mariachi band in their white and gold attire, play for the newlyweds sitting at their sweetheart table by themselves.

I am glad that Julia decided to have them. It is custom for the mariachi to be there during the meal and play a song or a couple to each table.

As warned, Sharon is at our table, speaking with Alistair. I thought Steve taking me out to hall to tell me was a bit too much, what did he thought I would do? Punch her in the face?

Well he wasn't wrong. The urge to do just that takes me by surprise. She just... gets on my nerves.

I stop by a waiter, ask him to bring a whole bottle of tequila to the table. He nods and goes on his way.

"Is that a wise idea?" Steve raises an eyebrow.

"Look at our table," I say, "Those two girls look like they are about to jump on the ones that are sitting with Thor, that other one just stopped to talk to Alistair, not even carrying he has a date, and there are other three just circling around."

He laughs and does not question me anymore.

Appetizers are being served. When we arrive, Steve pulls the chair for me, and makes sure my dress does not snag on it. I could swear I hear sighs everywhere. The way the sits are assigned and the rectangular shape of the table makes me sit in the corner, to Alistair's left, Sharon to his right and Steve to mine. But Steve as decided that no way he is going to let me sit next to Alistair and is probably best he keeps me as far away from Sharon as possible. So he sits on where I am supposed to, this leaves Sharon right in front of me. Yes, not far enough.

"Sharon, always surprising seeing you at my family's events." I say as a greeting when I settle on my sit.

"I didn't know it was your cousin's wedding."

"You two know each other?" Alistair reaches for some chips and salsa.

"I told you I knew Captain Rogers." She answers.

"You didn't tell me you knew Alexandra." He points out the difference.

Her brown eyes flash towards him.

"You said you were work friends, that would make you CIA?" I ask him.

"Interpol."

The tequila arrives, and the waiter sets shot glasses around for everyone.

"I think we will need another one." I say under my breath. There is a whole open bar, but we are starting strong with shots already.

I take the bottle and open it, Alistair is the first on to reach for his shot glass.

"I second that."

Steve takes the bottle from me, pours me a shot and then one for Alistair. Sharon extends her glass to be filled, and I give her mine and take the empty one.

Steve shake his head but he is amused.

"Thor, here, pass the bottle around." I tell him, taking the bottle and giving it to him. It is rude not to share. "Do you need some lemon? Salt?" I ask in the general direction of Sharon, pushing the little dish in the middle that has the lime wedges and sea salt.

She eyes me, contemplating if I am truly going to take this straight shot of tequila. I look into her eyes and then down the liquor without even breaking the eye contact.

Alistar chuckles and grabs a wedge of lemon before taking his. Sharon stares for a second longer, but she has her sense to take a lemon wedge too. The bottle makes the way back around to us, almost empty. Without even having to ask, the waiter brings another one.
