Chapter 4 Frenemies to friends

"Go, Go Lavender cave is right there!" The wolves running through the forest went down as they entered the cave. "Dusty! We're Three caves away from white cave!" "Yes!" "Whoo hoo!" Fang howled as they entered the cave "Scouts! Our corners here!" Glimmer howled right after talking to the alpha. All the scouts walked and pranced to their corner with soft leaves and pine needles for their bedding. "Let's talk about something in the dream forest?" Fang asked Dusty and Ferret. "Ok!" "Sure." The two finished setting their bedding and rested. Dusty woke up but the forest seemed less dark.. Some light shone into the forest, Between the trees. "Uhm.. GUYS?!" Fang yelled, Dusty jumped over some bushes and ducked under some branches. "What is it.." Dusty and Fang stared at a cave that had black and white crystals mixed. "FERRET!!" Wind blew hard before Ferret jumped over a bush then the wind calmed down. "Whoa.." "Is that white cave?" Ferret asked Dusty and Fang. "We don't know.. I think it's our new dream forest home." "I think it's the Darkness's home." Fang and Dusty argued about what it could be for a while. "I smell smoke.." "Smoke?" Dusty broke eye contact with Fang to look at Ferret. "I smell it too." Fang went behind Ferret and over a bush to find a gray and white wolf surrounded by fire and smoke. "Ferret look.." Ferret and Dusty jumped over the bush to get to fang, Wind furiously pushed their fur forwards and made the ring of fire rise. "HEY!" The fire went down as the gray and white wolf walked out of the ring "Who are you guys?-" Fang pounced on the male wolf and held them down on their back. "Get off!" The wolf struggled under fangs weight, Fangs gray fur being pushed by Ferrets scared wind. A ring of fire then surrounded them. "Fang, Remember the scars will show in the real world!" "Ok Ferret!" The wolf kicked Fang off near the fire but Fang stopped himself from hitting it and ran back into the wolf growling in their face and biting their neck. "S- Stop! Please!" The gray wolf begged before passing out. The flames went down and Ferret and Dusty walked over to Fang. "Are they dead?" "No Dusty, They passed out." "Good. Let's get them into the cave. It has four beds made out of moss, Leaves and sticks!" "Ok." Fang dragged the pass out body to the cave while Dusty looked for cobwebs for their wounds and Ferret made sure there was no danger nearby. "Ok all clear!" "Good, The less danger the better." "Fang, I think the bag had another stone in it.." "What? That's ridiculous!" "Then where did that fire come from, Either theirs another stone or they found ours and the bag!" "Hm.. You're right." "Ugh.." The wolf woke up as Dusty walked in and tended to their wounds. They growled but then calmed down and Ferret and Fang sat down in front of them. "So, Who are you?" Ferret asked while Fang glared at the wolf. "I'm Dawn." "How did you get here?" "I found a stone buried in the ground.." "What's your power?" "Fire manipulation." "where did you find your stone?" "Buried in a flower patch in a bag with other stones." "OURS STONES!" Fang bursted out with anger. "WHERE ARE THEY?!" "T- There with my Alpha, Rose." "You're.. Mushroom pack!" Ferret stared at Dawn with wide eyes as fang stared at them with anger "Fang relax." Dusty walked up to Dawn. and stared her dead in the eyes. "Why did you give your Alpha the stones?" "I- I don't know.." "Have you seen them sense?" "No, Sadly." Fang growled and went to sleep. "Dawn, If you come back here you must prove we can trust you.. You may stay tonight." Dusty walked off and fell asleep. "Good night stone stealer." Ferret glared at Dawn and went to sleep.

That morning birds chirped and pups ran around as new flowers bloomed. "Whoa, It's so pretty out here!" Ferret nudged Fang as they pranced around. "Yeah it is Ferret! But where's Dusty?" "Oh. I don't know." Fang looked around and sniffed for Dusty. "Dusty come out from hiding, this is a danger patrol!" "HEHE!" Dusty cackled and leaped onto Ferret's back. "Ack- Hehehe!" Ferret laughed as some calm air pushed their fur forwards. "Guys get down. I smell Mushroom pack." Fang whispered and ducked down into the tall grass. Then a gray and white she jumped over a bush with a small white pup in her jaw. "We made it snow.. Lavender cave!" "What?" Ferret whispered as she remembered the voice. "Dawn?" Ferret shouted as she stood up. "Hm?!" Dawn flinched and softly put down the pup at the sudden yell. "Oh hello.." Fang and Dusty stood up too with stone cold glares. "Why are you here?" Fang held a growl in his throat and walked up to Dawn, Muzzle to muzzle. "I- Uhm.." "TALK!" Dawn backed away. "I ran away from my pack. They didn't treat anyone fairly." "Hm well we'll have to bring you to our alpha-" "Please don't!" "Why?" Fang stared right into Dawn's eyes. "My pack probably noticed i'm gone by now, The alpha probably sent patrols for me. I'm better off a loner.." "You can't survive alone, Especially with a pup." The three exchanged looks and then Dusty walked up to Dawn. "You can travel to White cave with us. But we'll find somewhere for you to sleep and you must hide your scent." "Ok!" Dawn grabbed Snow and followed Dusty, Fang and Ferret to a field with rabbits and tall grass. "We'll make you a bed and check on you everyday. We will talk the night before we leave in the dream forest. All four of us." Dawn nodded as Ferret and Dusty went to get sticks, leaves and pine needles. Helped Dawn hide her and the pups scents with moss and dirt. "Thank you all very much!" Dawn thanked them as she helped make her and Snow's bed. "Your welcome Dawn." Ferret said as she went and grabbed two limp rabbits. ''Be safe!" Dusty called over her shoulder as they went to the Lavender cave. "ALL WOLVES OLD ENOUGH TO HUNT, fIGHT AND MORE GATHER UNDER THE TALL ROCK!" Aspin howled as wolves gathered under the rock. "We will be heading to Russet cave in two days! Get rest and make sure the pups are fed, Russet cave is far from Lavender cave! PACK DISMISSED!!" The pelts surrounding Ferret and Fang swirled around to corners to go to sleep. "Come on guys, we gotta meet up in the dream forest!" Dusty whispered as she got to Ferret and Fang. Then the three made their way to their corner and into the Dream forest.
