Chapter 5 Leaf, Fish, Stone, Fire.

"Let's see. We left Russet cave so this is Ochar cave!" Dusty smiled at Ferret, Fang and Dawn. "And we're two sunsets! Oh and snow is 15 sunrises!" The five partied and pranced as they made it to their cave, Glimmer split them into two groups of five to find bedding, But they went behind the cave with Dawn and Snow "I'll help Dawn and Snow get bedding after we get some for our corner." Dusty said as she leaped toward a lavender bush and looked for fallen twigs, "Ok, Ferret you're with me then, Lets get Omen, Flash and Hollow, And we'll say we didn't see you after we got to the cave Dusty!"" Fang frowned. "What's wrong Fang?" "Flash and I aren't the best of siblings anymore." "Hm well today will be a good day!" Ferret and Fang talked as they walked to the front of the cave. "Dawn? Why can't we do important jobs?" "We will, Soon enough." Snow smiled at the response and pranced to Dusty to help look for twigs. A few seconds later the three found a few pawfulls of moss and feathers, About enough for all of their beds. "You guys take this and i'll take this for my bed and come out and get more, Snow remember to practice hunting at sunhigh in any empty lands." "Ok Dusty! Bye!" "Bye Dusty!" Snow and Dawn took their bedding back behind the cave and found some flat land for their beds. "Ok snow, Make your bed here and then we can hunt!" "Ok Dawn!" Snow pawed his bed and stretched before stopping and going to look for rabbits or even better, Birds!

After hunting, Snow ate a plump bird. After he rested in his bed as his breath slowed into a deep sleep, Snow walked around a grassy floor not knowing where he was, "Hello?" After a few moments something in a bush rustled and jumped out, Rabbit! Snow leapt onto the rabbit and pushed it down while biting its neck. Snow dropped the rabbit and looked for a river. After a few steps he found a nice stream. "Water!" Snow sniffed the water at first in case it wasn't safe before drinking it. "Ok i can now say this is a dream, I'm still thirsty and this tastes like, Fox?" Snow sniffed around and tasted the air only to confirm the scent of fox. "Hmm." Snow ducked down to the floor and closed his eyes, as he did he saw flowing lines and paw prints where scents were. "This way!" Snow kept his eye shut and followed an orange flowing line and fox paw prints that led into a bush. Snow poked his head through the bush and there were four foxes, Two cubs and two adults, Snow pushed his head out and walked away. "Hmm, Seems like a normal forest dream!" Snow walked around and sniffed. Outside of his dream his nose was frantically twitching and sniffing as he slept. "Hmm, If this is a dream and I can't taste water, then how did I smell the foxes?" Snow walked around and kept on sniffing only smelling the stench of fox. "Hmm..'' Snow heard a faint growl and felt the earth shake from under him, He heard the sound of paws thumping on the ground, Getting louder and louder as he woke up and he was on Dawn back as she was being shoved against Dusty, Fang and Ferret with foxes right behind them and their pack in front of them. "GO, GO!!" Snow looked around panicked, Struggling to hold onto Dawn's back as she ran, Snow looked back and saw his old pack, Mushroom pack, Snow panicked even more and thought mushroom pack drove them out and into the forest where they would get lost. "Timber pack, ATTACK!" Suddenly All the Scouts, Pup watchers, Elders and the healer ran back as the rest of the pack went forward to fight. "Dawn.. What happened?!" Snow groaned as he got off Dawn's back and onto his paws. "Mushroom pack has found us.." "THIS WAY!!" Glimmer yelled following a secret path to the orchard cave. "Scouts!-" Glimmer stopped and looked at Dawn and Snow with wide eyes. "SCOUTS! GET THEM!" Snow looked around, Being surrounded by all the scouts but Dawn, Fang and Ferret. "Dawn, Look, they're missing.." Then a hard gust of wind pushed everyone's fur back and forwards and then a ring of fire surrounded Dawn and Snow, Snow looked at Dawn, terrified as Dawn gave a soft smile back. "We're coming!" Fang then pushed past Omen and Grape to get into the ring of fire with Dawn and Snow. "Ferret and Fang are getting stuff for later, Snow, get on my back, Dawn, get ready to fake a big fire!" Snow climbed onto Fang's back as dawn nodded and grew the fire as shrieks of horror grew. "Hang on snow! Dawn, make us a path of fire where I say!" Fang and Dawn talked and made a path to what looked like an abandoned den and Ferret and Dusty where in it pawing beds and cleaning cobwebs. "You guys will be safe here until we make it to white cave, We might go to white cave now-" "Fang?!" Flash ran around sniffing and then she poke her head into the den. "Fang!!" Flash ran to him and hugged him. "I was so worried!" Fang sat there in shock. "Ferret, Dusty, your parents are back and looking for you!" "Thank you Flash." Dusty nodded at Ferret to check if they're leaving for white cave. Ferret ran out the den while Flash checked Fang for scars. "Flash, I'm fine!" Fang pushed her off and walked to Snow and Dawn. "Fang get away from them! They could be spies or worse!" "Flash their friends of mine." Flash looked at Fang as if she was gonna argue with him but she kept quiet. Just then Ferret ran in and announced. "Hurry, we're going to white cave!" Ferret had a huge smile on her face and ran out followed by everyone else to the back of the pack making sure they kept a low profile and kept up with the pack until they made it to white cave.

When they made it to white cave everyone stared in amaze as it glowed with white moonlight over it and the stars made the shape of moon pack one by one everyone went inside and found soft moss beds ready for them. "Dawn, you should join Timber pack!" "Really Fang? I don't know." "Come on!" Fang pranced to the tall rock and told Aspin about Dawn and the Prediction as Ferret and Dusty walked up with Snow on their tails. "Ok Fang, I'll do something." Aspin howled for a pack meeting and leaped up the tall rock. "We have made it to white cave! And we have two new pack members!" Howls of joy and excitement rose from the pack. "If you're the two new members please stand on the rock with me!" Dawn and Snow walked up the rock and stared down at the crowd. "Our two new members!" A few howls and cheers came from the crowd as Dawn and Snow dipped their heads and smiled. "They'll be scouts, Dusty, Ferret and Fang, You three will help them learn the ways of our pack!" Aspin nodded to Dawn and Snow with a smile. "Pack dismissed!" Dawn ran down the rock with snow and pranced around as she headed for her friends. "I can't believe it!" Dawn said as she jumped around the scout den being followed by stares and whispers "Dawn.. You and Fang risked the prophecy being revealed to everyone!" Dusty whispered with rage, Dawn's smile faded quickly. "I- I'm sorry Dusty." Dusty turned and rested in her moss bed and let herself fall into a deep sleep.
