welcome back mr munson (eddie munson x y/n)

part 3

as i was spacing out with a blasting volume of music i felt a hand on my back.
"JESUSSS MUNSON!!" i shouted while placing a hand on my heart as if i were having a heart attack and took off my headphones.

eddie: "sorry princess.." he says glancing at mike who then quickly ran up to hug me tightly. "woahh what's going on?" i asked hugging him back. he didn't let go and said "y/n..what was the dream about..?" i let go and stayed quiet. eddie looked at me. "it's..it's nothing mike probably my mind playing tricks" i lied.

mike: "i'm glad you're okay but promise me you'll tell me about it next time it happens?" he says sticking his pinky out to me. i look at him and finally pinky promise him. "how did you guys know i was here?" i questioned.

eddie: "oh you know....i also come here to uh- think" he admits.
i laugh and smile at eddie.
<<eddie's pov>>
y/n and mike talk and i stand there trying to understand then she laughs and smiles at me. i couldn't help but also smile, her laugh is so adorable it hurts seeing her force it though..i'm gonna to keep her happy and safe as best as i can, she deserves the world.

the three of us sat at the table, both across from me and we talked. eddie and mike seemed to get closer then they already were which made my heart warm, me and eddie also got to know each other better, he plays guitar which i find very attractive. after a few hours me and mike were ready to go home. as we got up to go to the car eddie grabbed my arm. mike still went ahead while i stayed back.

"what is it mr munson?" i tease and laugh slightly. he grabs both my hands and looks into my eyes.

eddie: "i enjoyed today y/n..i really did even if it wasn't a good start for you i want you to know that i'm willing to be the shoulder you cry on, the person you go to for advice, the person who you know is always there for you.." he then kisses my hands while still holding them.
i was lost in his words i stood there looking at him blushing bright bright red i could feel my cheeks burning up. "eddie munson.." i smiled so wide and laughed of embarrassment, hands still holding his. "i also enjoyed today..thank you for being here for me and looking after mike, i hope we can do this again maybe just me and you this time" i let go and stood on my tippy toes grabbing his shoulders for support to give him a kiss on the cheek. "see you around mr munson" i said while walking to the car.
"see ya.." he said all excited and he did a small cheer of happiness. in the car mike looked at me with raised eyebrows. i pushed his face away and turned the music up loudly and laughed. "yea yea i'll tell you at home" i say and drive off.
<<mikes pov>>
i saw y/n and eddie talking while i sat in the car. she seems to be comfortable and safe around him unlike she was with billy..i really hope she's smart about her choices i hate seeing her upset. billy was never really a good guy for her anyways. i just want her to tell me personally that she likes eddie. i look up and see y/n kissing eddie on his cheek. "WHAT-" i shout but obviously they couldn't hear me, she came back and i looked at her. she laughed and turned up the music and we left.

as me and mike cruised downtown we stopped at the byers to say hello. "MIKE!! Y/N!!" a girl shouts. i look and see that it's El. mike rushes out the car and hugs her and spins her. i smile at that and see joyce, jonathan, will nancy and hopper walking out. i step out the car and wave. "oh my goodness y/n is that you ??" joyce says with arms out walking towards me. "oh my gosh hii, i missed you!" i said also walking towards her and accepted her hug. i saw nancy and forgot she came to see jonathan last night. as i say hello to everyone and catch up i space out and could not stop thinking about eddie.

something about that man is so dreamy, he gave me a feeling billy never did. mike wanted to spend the night with the byers and they said it was okay. me and nancy went home.
"nance..what do you think of eddie munson?" i asked while still focusing on the road.
"eddie as in dnd eddie-?" she asks. i shake my head yes. "well i personally have not spoken to him but hearing from mike he does seem like a nice person" she says "-do you like him?" she adds.
"w-what ?? n-no no....i don't know !! we hung out today and he said really nice things to me" i said. "i know what billy was like but eddie isn't like that! i swear!" i add. "if you really think he's different then i say you should keep seeing him, but you know the signs to look for if you're unsure. you deserve this..to be happy" she says smiling slightly. i smile back at her and park the car in the driveway. "thank you nance..now let's see what excuse we make this time for you sneaking out" i laugh and walk inside nancy following behind.

mom and dad were already in the kitchen waiting for us. it was kinda late. "before you speak, mike is at the byers having a sleepover, mom you already know why i left, and nance left way before you guys even woke up, she had work and went to the byers and forgot to call" i lied. they believed me, i'm so good at excuses. me and nancy went upstairs she gave me a high five as a way of saying nice work to the excuse.

i went in my room and reached into my pocket, eddie left his phone number on it. i giggled 'slick munson, very slick' i said in my head. i reached for the phone on my bedside table and dialed the number.
<<eddie's pov>>
i did a happy cheer when y/n said she wanted to hangout again, damn i love her. she's my reason to keep going now. she drove off and i also left and headed home, i couldn't stop thinking about her and her beautiful smile. i got home and cleaned up the mess then watched tv while rolling a blunt. then the phone rings. "hello?"
