part 5

i fell asleep before eddie could even come back from his shower. his clothes and bed were soo comfortable. i got under the covers and slept.

i had a dream about billy.

<<in dream>> (trigger warning: abuse)
billy: "y/n why are you with that freak? come back to me"
i looked at him blankly. then turned away.
"you know what you did to me, you know why i left. you never loved me, you loved the thought of me being yours" i said still looking away.
he then grabbed me by the shoulders and gripped them really hard. "OW WHAT THE HELL WILLIAM?" i shouted
"you're mine y/n" he then hits me across the face. i cover my face with my hand and stay quiet with silent tears steaming down my face.
"that freak doesn't love you" he says then spits and walks away.

i opened my eyes feeling tears down my face. i was going to get up but eddie's arms were wrapped around my waist and he was asleep.
he looks so peaceful when he sleeps. i turn to face him and move his hair out of his face and kiss his nose then wipe my tears i tried going back to sleep but i couldn't. the dream kept repeating in my mind.

'that freak doesn't love you'
he's wrong. eddie loves me more then billy did. he loves me for me. he treats me with so much patience. i sat up and cried not knowing i woke eddie up.

"hey what's wrong..?" he says worried and also sits up. i covered my face and leaned on his shoulder. "d-do you think i'm enough?" i asked. he looked at me. "y/n..you're more then enough darling. you're the most beautiful person in my eyes, i love everything about you head to toe, im willing to be with you through everything. i mean it" he says pulling me into his arms and kissing my head. i smiled and kissed him softly.

(time skip to the park)

"y/n since you're the one who's been to the upside down first, there must've been clues right? or like signals" dustin asks.

i look up at dustin while fidgeting with my fingers and bouncing my legs rapidly.
"um yea, each time im alone there's a grandfather's clock in the distance and a scratchy voice" i said still bouncing my leg.
eddie notices and puts his hand on my thigh to calm me down. i look at him and smile and hold his hand.
mike and nancy look at us.
"what?" i mouth.
they turn their attention back to dustin who just got done explaining everything he knows about the upside down. "so the next time you hear the clock y/n you must let us know asap" dustin says.
"yessir" i say
"are we done here?" steve says "me and robin gotta get to work"
"yea yea don't get a stick up your ass" dustin says sarcastically. we all say bye and go separate ways.
me and eddie stayed back to go on a walk but before we could mike came up.
"can we talk?" he says directly. "alone?" he then adds looking at eddie.
eddie puts his hands up and walks away.
"no mike me and eddie aren't together yet" i say. "how'd you- nevermind. please tell me when you get with him y/n i dont the relationship to end up like..like you and billy." he says kicking rocks.

"mike..i promise i will tell you, you'll be the first to know" i say and hug him "now hurry nance must be pretty annoyed to keep her waiting" i say and he runs to the car.
"what was that about?" eddie asks.
"ohh nothing, cmon mr munson" i say and "anything for you sweetheart" he grabs my hand and we start walking.

(big time skip) months pass by and i must say eddie and i have gotten so much closer. he knows how to calm down my nerves, he's patient with me, he even knows if i'm allergic to something or not. nothing crazy about the upside down thing has happened it's like it went away. hopefully it never comes back i'm so happy with eddie and life. eddie has meet my whole family and they love him. he even showed holly how to braid hair. he's so adorable:)

<<eddie's pov>>
the past few months with y/n have been so amazing, i got to know her and she got to know me. i got introduced to her family and they love me. especially little holly, i taught her how to braid hair. y/n seemed to love the fact i include her family in my life and i'm happy to see that's she's happy, i'm doing my job in keeping her safe and happy. i'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend today, she has no clue. her whole family is going to help me set up while her mom takes her out shopping. i grabbed all her favorite candy/snacks and her favorite flowers. i got her this bracelet with our initials on it. i really hope she likes it and says yes. i want her to me mine so bad. fuck hargrove he never deserved her in the first place.

i was getting ready to go out with mom to do some shopping. i put on a nice outfit nancy suggested and got all pretty. i grabbed my shoes and went downstairs.
"okay mom i'm ready" i said sitting down at the end of the stairs putting my shoes on. "okay sweetie let's go" she says and grabs her keys. "bye guys! muahhh" i said and went out closing the door behind me.

<<mikes pov>>
mom and y/n went out to go shopping. as soon as they left i ran to call eddie to come over to set up. me and dad started cleaning while nancy got holly ready. even though eddie has already talked to me about asking y/n to be his girlfriend i hope she keeps her promise and tells me she got with him still. the past months i've really seen y/n happy with eddie, more happier then she was with billy. she deserves this, dad and nancy even agree. eddie finally came and we started setting up outside i hid cameras in different angles because y/n would've died if no one caught the moment.
<<end of mikes pov>>

eddie: "hello mr wheeler-" he says and stuck his hand out to shake dads.

dad: "hi son, the kids are inside if you need them"

eddie: "alright thank you, but on a serious note, it is okay if i ask her right? i mean i can wait a little lo-"

dad: "y/n has had a rough time with that kid william but you son, you brought back her spark and she's never been happier. now go on inside it's pretty hot out here" he says cutting off eddie.

eddie smiles and hands dad a 6 pack and goes inside to find nancy, mike and holly.
