Chapter 3

I sit up in my bed. I stare at Bridgett. I don't remember that. What the heck happened? She stares at me as if waiting for me to say something. I open my mouth and lift a finger. I put down my finger and close my mouth. I don't know what to say. I am so confused! I look at Bellini then Bridgett. What do I say to her? 

"Well," I finally manage to get out, "Sorry to startle y-" I stop. I stop because I see something. I see about five to ten arrows in Bridgett's back pocket. 

"Yes, Ed? Keep going." Bridgett says waving her hand at me. I point to her back pocket.

"What are those?" I asked nervously. 

"Uh nothing..." She says hiding them.

"Bridgett. I need you to tell me." She shakes her head. I can tell she's worried. But when she backs off I got a glimpse of feathers on her back but they disappear. "Bridgett....is there something wrong with you?"

"Uggh...no..." She runs into my nightstand.

"You're hiding something aren't you?" she shakes her head again. I give her a look like I know that she is.

"I have to go." and she runs out of the house.

Bridgett's *POV*

"Oh crap!" I say when I run out of Ed's house. "How the hell did he see?" I really like him but no human has ever seen my arrows and I think he got a glimpse of my wings too. Oh no. If he discovers my secret I'll be kicked out and the angel gang will literally kill me!  

I have to cover this up and fast!  I speard out my wings. I look behind me to make sure Ed isn't behind me. I flap my wings and I fly silently into the night sky.

Ed's *POV*

I sit on the edge of my bed with a blank stare on  my face. "What did I just see?" I whisper silently to myself. I cover my mouth with my left hand. I don't know what to think. I am so confused! What do I do? What do I think? How do I alart her? I lay down on my bed thinking and confused.

Bridgett's *POV*

"You inconvenient idiot!" Master Cloudworthy yells at me. "I will make you fall straight through these clouds and make you mortal! You know we might have to kill you?! I have been your guardian since your parents have died! And look at the mess you are now in!" I start to cry. His tense shoulders lower and his face gets calmer. "Oh sweaty." He walks over to my and puts his hand on my shoulder. "Please don't cry. We will figure out something. I promise."

I wipe my eyes. "I hope so. Soon he'll find out and he will be devastated if I die."

"We'll do something." He rubs my back. I wave bye to him and fly back down to Earth. I arrive at Ed's house and walk in silently. 

"Ed?" I call through the house. No answer. I walk up stairs and into his room. He's asleep. I grab one arrow slowly. I raise my arm with the arrow in my hand. I throw my arm down and the arrow hits Ed and turns to dust.
