"Ahhh!"

I screamed as I shot up of the bed. I had really bad dream. My puffy eyes and messy hair. I recalled dad word's

You are a failure!

I tidied my hair, trying to calm down. Something caught my attention. The bandage on my hand. I thought,

"Wasn't I alone last night?"

I thought as I walked out of my room. I saw taeyeon's message saying that she and Irene will talk to the teacher and why I wouldn't be in school today. So I was relieved to walk out as nobody was here. I don't want anyone to see me in this state.

As I walked to the kitchen. I saw the person that I would never expected

Karina

"Oh you are awake. How are you?"

I just nodded in response. I tried to hide my puffy eyes but it was too late. Karina brought pancakes and saw my eyes. She hugged me. I couldn't contain my tears. I just cried it all out. All the anger onto Karina. She rubbed my back and said,

"Winter, it's ok... it's ok..."

I hugged her tighter. I could not stop crying. Karina just comforted me. I broke from the hug andsaid,

"Karina, how did u get here?"

"Shh...just calm down first. I will tell u later. Eat your breakfast."

We ate in the living room with long silence. Karina said,

"U did not come last night to teh rooftop so I went to your house. But u locked yourself in the room."

"But if I was alone how did u come in to bandage my injuries?"I asked

"Well, I climbed through the windows to get to your room."

I looked at her in shock. I could not believe what I heard.

"But I thought u are afraid of heights?"

She nodded her head and kept eating. I hugged her and said,

"Thank you for what u have done for me..."

She hugged me back tight and said,

"Come on and eat."

In the afternoon, she opened the front door. Curious, I asked her,

"Where are u going?"

"Why are u going to miss me?"

I blushed. She chuckled and said,

"Aeri left the homework at the doorstep and I'm going to get some clothes for myself. I told teacher about it and excused myself for a few weeks until you are fine."

She left and I was still on the same spot. That laugh, it was still in my mind. I shook that thought and watched movies. Not long after, she came back with a smile on her face, she brought along a bag of Starbucks drinks.

"Hey, guess what I got!"

I squealed in delight and ran to get my drink. She smiled widely at me as if I was her child. Her smile was so cute I never knew she could be this cute.

I drank and started dancing. She laughed at that sight and gave me a bright smile. She drank her drink and we watched some movies. Before movies, she asked,

"Winter-ah, why did u scream this morning when u wake up?"

I told her everything,

"I had a bad nightmare. About my dad disowning me and everyone left me alone. Then I just woke up."

She looked at me and hugged me, repeatedly say,

"It's ok..."

I felt so relieved and continued to watch. After a while, I started to feel sleepy and slept while hugging Karina.

KARINA

That girl started snoring I turned my head and stared at her face. I chuckled and moved that bunch of hair in the way of her face, I mumbled,

"Winter ah, I wish u feel the same as I do."

Just then, taeyeon and Irene opened the door and saw what I did and winter hugging me. I immediately keep my hands back to myself and signalled 'hi' to them in order not to wake her up. They gave each other a look and said hi back to me and chuckled on the way to their room.

I carried winter back to her room when her sisters were gone. I laid her on the bed and saw her drooling, I smiled at that sight. I wiped off her drool. She suddenly woke up. I kept my hands to myself and said,

"What do u want to eat for dinner?"

She shook her head and said,

"It's fine, I'm not hungry but I really want to sleep." I nodded my head and closed the door to give winter some privacy. I went to the living room and cleared all the mess. Just then, taeyeon came out with her hair wet. She said,

"Thanks for helping us take care of minjeong."

"It's ok, and can I stay for a few more days until she is ok? I just want to make sure she is ok too, please" I begged taeyeon.

She nodded her head at teh sight of me almost begging on my knees. She gave a extra mattress to sleep in winter's room. The sofa was not big enough for me.

Opening the door quietly, I settled down and got ready to sleep after completing my work. When I was about to sleep, I heard winter said,

"No...no...dad...NO-!"

She shot up into sitting position. I ran to her and asked if she was ok. She was panting hard and muttered,

"Can...you...hug me?"

Without hesitation, I hugged her in my warm arms and calmed her back down. She stammered,

"Thank...you..."

I look at her with great worry and said,

"Nightmare?"

She nodded. I lied her down as I hugged her and patted her,

"My mom used to this when I can't sleep."

She hummed in response. Not long after, she feel asleep. I wanted to sleep on the other matters but seeing her in such deep sleep. I could not wake her up and stayed in that position. Just then, taeyeon walked in and she brought my phone. She saw us in this state. She gave a look and placed my phone down. She whispered,

"Sometimes I think both of you are dating, she talks about u 24/7"

She chuckled as she walked out. I was spacing out. I thought,

"Winter...she is talking about me? What if she feels the same way. But, no. She is straight, Karina, get yourself in the correct mind."

I sighed and went back to sleep."
