The door chimed over my head as I stepped into the small cafe. A girl with short white hair stood next to me with clear wired oval glasses on the edge of her nose. My hair was now a deep red color showing just how much time had passed.

"We're falling into a routine," Natasha's deep voice told me.

I rolled my eyes. "Everyone gets coffee, Nat," I said, picking up my paper cup, and walking further into the cafe to find a seat.

"Still we should probably get a new—"

Suddenly I stopped in the middle of the aisle, Natasha lightly bumping into my back. She glanced at me trying to assess the situation and then her eyes laid on the familiar sight of blonde hair sitting in a booth that made me stop in my tracks.

"Steve," Natasha greeted him because she knew I wouldn't. My face was frozen in its glare.

"Natasha," he nodded, a blue baseball cap on his head. "Good to see you, Jo. You're a tough person to track down,"

"Yeah, well I've had some practice," my words sliced through the air.

"You know..."

"I told her everything," Natasha answered, sliding into the booth. "It's time you do the same,"

I stood in front of both of them, staring at them sitting in the booth, asking myself if I really wanted to join this conversation. I'd been left out of so many for so long.

"Will you please sit, Josephine?" Steve asked and I rolled my eyes and complied.

"So what've you been up to, Steve? Almost killing my dad?"

"I didn't want to fight him, believe me,"

"I don't,"

"Then try to put yourself in my shoes. He swung first,"

"That doesn't make it right— what you did to him. Even if he did swing first. You didn't have to do that," I said and Natasha nudged my shoulder in encouragement. And a light went off in my brain. "How did you find me, Steve,"

"I got lucky,"

"I don't believe you," I said, folding my hands.

"I told him to come," Natasha said and took a bite of the chocolate muffin sitting untouched on Steve's side of the table.

"Why would you do that?" I glared at her.

She avoided my gaze. "He needs to ask you something,"

"Oh," I crossed my arms over my chest. "You're coming to ask me for a favor. Well, Steve, you're going to have to try someone else,"
