"What the hell is this?"

"His eyes and hair changed color.."

"I'll have fun slicing you apart.."

The smile plastered on (M/n) face could kill if it wanted to. The thick shadow arm turned into a sword and slowly raised up high. Another shadow arm grabbed the handle of the sword.

"Let's start with the arm first.." The (h/c) haired male started to thrash the blade down.

"(M/n), you're scaring Coco!" A familiar voice yelled. Just before the shadow sword could connected with Menchi skin, it stopped.

(M/n) looked back at the group and spotted Coco. She was shaking on Gon's shoulder as she stared at (M/n)'s eyes.

"Huh?" (M/n) felt...weird.

He felt sad.

Slowly, one of his eyes turned back (e/c).

The top half of his clothing turned back it's normal color, but his bottom half remains in the dark side.

The shadow arms were weaker, but they still stayed strong and kept their appearance.

He wasn't sure of it but, he could feel two pairs of eyes staring at him. Eventhough hundreds of eyes were eyeing him, those two felt oddly threatening. (M/n) growled as he made the shadow sword dissappear.

There was silence.

The type of silence that was so quiet that a pin could be heard dropping.

But, Menchi had to ruin that silence.

"So, as I was saying, not a single one of you has the guts to cook anything remotely new or innovative."

"Hey! Shut up! I'm not here because I'm trying to be some gourmet cook, but a Hunter!"

"That's right. You tell her!" A group of followers yelled behind Todo.

"My goal is to become a Blacklist Hunter, and no stupid Gourmet Hunter is gonna tell me I can't."

"The it's too bad that a stupid Gourmet Hunter is your examiner. Well, better luck next year, I guess."

Todo's face turned red from anger, "Huh? Why, you...Don't mess with me!" Todo yelled as he ran towards Menchi, but he didn't even get close as Buhara punched him far away.

"Buhara, please don't interfere." Menchi commanded.

"I'm sorry, but it kinda looked like you was gonna kill him if I didn't step in." Buhara said.

"I honestly would've minded if she killed 'em. That's one less mouth I have to worry about." (M/n) muttered.

Menchi chuckled, "Probably."

She stepped down the stairs with a collection of some knives.

"Let's get this straight. We frequently ventured into the dens of ferocious beast, in search of the finest ingredients."

"And every Hunter is proficient in at least some force of martial arts. You lack focus, and the will to experiment with new things." Menchi pointed out before she started to shortly jungle the blades.

She soon stopped as she began talking again, "And that alone disqualifies you all from becoming Hunters."

Silence spreaded across the array of people that have been told they can't be Hunters.

"Well, that said, it seems a bit excessive to fail every single applicant." A sudden voice called. Every one looked where the voice came from and saw a blimp in the sky.

"The symbol of the Hunter's Association! It must be someone from the exam committee!

Couple seconds after that was told, a man jumped down from the blimp and onto the ground violently.

Dust and small bits of rocks started flying everywhere.

And who is this now?

Once the dust cleared, (M/n) was able to look at the male's features further.

What appeared was an old man. He had a ponytail, a thick beard, and stretched earlobes with two piercings in both ears.

He was wearing a traditional man's kimono and a pair of geta with one teeth.

"Hey, wait. Who's the old man?"

"He's the head of the Hunter Committee, and he's responsible for the Hunter Exam. Chairman Netero."

"Oh, I just work behind the scenes. It not all that impressive. I only intervene in the exams when little issues like this one pop up." The male said.

"Now dear, Menchi."

"Sir."

(M/n) wasn't paying much attention to the conversation. It was like a master putting a chain back on their rampaged dog.

He was mostly paying attention to himself.

He felt like he was mostly normal but had the power of Despair with it as well.

Which his eyes and clothes, show very clearly that, that is true.

He combined his two sides together.

"The hell..." He whispered as he looked at his clothes.

Suddenly, (M/n) noticed that other applicants started loading onto the blimp that arrived minutes ago.

"I really need to start paying attention more." He sighed as he followed the crowd.

While aboard the flying machine, a realization hit (M/n) like a truck.

When he raged at the unsightly death of his best companion, he released an enormous amount of nen energy which meant, that...

"The Book!" (M/n) yelled as he took out the small book.

He sped through the papers he were previously able to read, and lightly squealed he was able to flip to the next page.

Chapter 3 - Mastery of the Light

- The light is rather the easiest one of them all to control.

- These eyes are triggered by calm posititive emotion or memories but, you won't need it when you control it properly.

- Just like it's opposite, The Hope Eyes give a totally different personality that completely opposes your opposite self.

- You'll become blunt and your remorse and care for people are severely low.

- The Hope Eyes changes your eyes as well to signal others of the transformation.

- The sclera and pupil will turn pure white and the iris will glow gold. This is the first sign of the transformation.

- Later, your hair will turn white with golden ends.

- And lastly, no matter what type of clothes you're wearing the color will turn to a mixture of white with gold and black outlines to match the eyes.

- The Hope Eyes changes your nen type as well. The nen type changes based on you original nen types in your original form.

- Form its opposite, The Hope Eye's nen isn't set to destroy. It has an emission type nen that heals his allies and even fix broken structures.

- This nen has no limits of how much it can repair, but it only works fully when the host completely complied to the repair.

- How to calm the Light: It's self explanatory on how to calm the light. To calm the light, you need negative thoughts that will balance it. If you fail to calm it, you might lose yourself in the light and even hurt you allies and friends no matter how close you are to them.
