"Yeah, you should have seen her face!"
Arny and I cringed as we heard the same story, yet again, from Ashton being repeated around the school. He'd gone after this girl he'd been stalking all school year...you can imagine what he did...
It made us sick.
The Purge ended two nights ago and he was going around bragging, thinking he couldn't be touched, thinking he was off the hook. It made my blood boil. I was seeing red, seething in silence all day.
Arny slamming my passenger car door snapped me out of my thoughts.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" He asked with no emotion in his voice. We'd never spoken about it. We'd never actually killed outside of purging regulations before but this...this was just unacceptable.
"Let's do this." I whispered, throwing the car into reverse before tearing out of the driveway.
