In River City, the Rangers, accompanied by Mick, Redbot, and their newfound friends, made a daring leap from their base to the Department of Magical Intervention (DMI) headquarters. There, they encountered Sean Reegan, Lily's father, and Jared Blackwell, Imogen and Darra's father. The Rangers stood before the council, where Jared expressed, "Normally, we don't seek assistance from humans, but the alliance of Madame Odius with Orla leaves us with no alternative."

Sean posed a crucial question to the Rangers, asking, "Do you, the Power Rangers, swear to safeguard the secret of magic and our existence?" Brody confidently affirmed, "We do. As Power Rangers, we are bound to protect the planet." Sean acknowledged, "Excellent, and in return, we will keep your identities as Rangers confidential."

Kyra and everyone else then led the Rangers to the library, where Mick reminded them of the Nexus Prism. Kyra assured, "Don't worry, Mick; I've got that covered." She ventured back to the Rangers' base and retrieved the Nexus Prism.

Maxwell, curious about the Nexus Prism, inquired, "What is the Nexus Prism, and what does it do?" Mick explained, "It's of extraterrestrial origin and the source of the Rangers' powers." Brody elaborated on how his father had discovered it, their confrontation with Galvanax, his capture, Aiden/Levi's escape, and their subsequent transformation into Power Rangers, as well as their encounters with Madame Odius.

Kyra, Peter, Imogen, Darra, Lily, Ruksy, and Maxwell took turns explaining Kyra's involvement, the Orb of Lemuria, and Orla's escape. Preston showcased his magical abilities using a wand he had acquired. Maxwell was intrigued and asked, "Preston, you possess magic skills?" Preston confirmed, "Yes, I do. I'm a magician, and I learned some spells from Princess Viera of the Lion Galaxy; she provided me with a spell book." Maxwell expressed interest in seeing the spell book, and Preston obliged, allowing Maxwell to examine the unique alien spells. Maxwell marveled at their uniqueness and proposed, "Preston, in exchange for learning these spells, I can teach you some of the spells I instruct to my students."

Meanwhile, aboard the Warrior Dome, Madame Odius and Orla discussed the interference caused by Kyra and her friends. Odius questioned, "Who were those kids who aided the Rangers in battle?" Orla responded, "They are students from Maxwell's School of Magic, including Kyra Glen, who is a tri-ling." Intrigued, Odius vowed to assist Orla in dealing with Kyra and her friends, then decided to dispatch Steamface to attract the Rangers' attention on the streets of River City.

Back at the library, Preston mentioned his improved magic skills, thanks to exposure to Ninja Steel, the source of their powers and Power Stars. Mick explained the significance of Super Ninja Steel and its contributions to their abilities. Suddenly, an image of Steamface appeared in the Nexus Prism, depicting his attack on downtown River City.

The Rangers, alongside Kyra, Peter, Imogen, Darra, Lily, and Ruksy, swiftly responded, leaping to the scene. Steamface demanded, "Rangers, surrender your Power Stars!" Brody defiantly replied, "That's not going to happen!" The Rangers activated their morphers, chanting, "Ninja Spin!" as they inserted their Power Stars.

While the Rangers faced Steamface, Kyra and her friends utilized their magic to deal with Kudabots and Basherbots. Steamface unleashed a steam attack, freezing the Rangers in place. Kyra, perceptive to their predicament, employed her magic to break the icy bonds and free the Rangers. Imogen and Darra then used their magic to send Steamface crashing into a nearby wall.

Defeated, Steamface retreated, prompting the Rangers to power down and regroup at the library. Maxwell, having witnessed the battle through the Nexus Prism, expressed, "I've seen the fight. Kyra is right; we need to learn more potent magic to defeat Steamface." Preston offered, "I've agreed to teach spells from my spell book, and in return, we'll learn some of Maxwell's spells."
