HARRY'S POV

So did you and Ginny do it then? Ron asked.

"What?" I said.

"You know, hide the book" Ron said.

"Oh yeah" I said.

Slughorn appeared in front of us, stared and left.

"Still no luck with Slughorn, then, I take it" Ron said.

"Luck, that's it, all I need is a bit of luck" I said.

We walked back to the common room to find Hermione.

I drank the liquid luck I had.

"Well how do you feel?" Hermione asked.

"Excellent, really excellent" I said.

"Remember, Slughorn usually eats early, takes a walk, and then returns to his office" Hermione said.

"Right, I'm going down to Hagrid's" I said.

"What?" Hermione said.

"No, Harry you've got to go and speak to Slughorn, we have a plan" Hermione said.

"I know, but I've got a really good feeling about Hagrid's, I feel it's the place to be tonight, do you know what I mean?" I said.

"No" both Ron and Hermione said.

"Well, trust me, I know what I'm doing or Felix does" I said walking out.

I was walking past the herbology room where I saw Slughorn. I went up toward him causing him to get scared.

"Merlin's beard, Harry"

"Sorry, sir I should've announced myself, Cleared my throat, Coughed, You probably feared I was Madam Sprout" I said.

"Well, yes, actually, What makes you think that?" Slughorn said.

"Just the general behavior, sir, the sneaking around, the jumping when you saw me, by the way, those Tentacula leaves they're quite valuable, aren't they?" I said.

"Ten galleons a leaf to the right buyer, not that I'm familiar with such back alley transactions but one does hears rumors is all" he said.

"My own interests are purely academic, of course" he continued.

"Personally, these plants have always kind of freaked me out" I said giving a little shiver.

I begin to walk away toward the exit.

"Exactly how did you get out of the castle, Harry?" Slughorn asked.

"Through the front doors, sir, I'm off to Hagrid's, you see, He's a very dear friend and I felt like paying him a visit, so if you don't mind, I'll be going" I said.

"Harry!" Slughorn said.

"Sir?" I said.

"It's nearly nightfall. Surely you realize I can't allow you to roam the grounds all by yourself" Slughorn said.

"Well, then by all means come along, sir" I said.

As we were heading towards Hagrid's I felt full of energy meanwhile behind me I heard Slughorn huffing and puffing.

"Harry, I must insist you accompany me back to the castle immediately!" Slughorn said.

"That would be counterproductive, sir" I said.

"And what makes you say that?" He asked.

"No idea" I said.

"Merlin's beard..." Slughorn said.
