A/n: Hello readers I have no idea how many times I will apologize to you guys about not posting recently.
TW: ABUSE AND DEATH
-DRACO'S POV
Y/n hasn't spoken to me in a week. A whole week. Every time I see her, she either turns away, glares at me with an icy fury, or disappears before I can even utter a word.
How could I have messed up this badly?
Her absence is suffocating. I miss her touch—the way her fingers would absentmindedly trace patterns on my wrist. I miss her scent—a delicate mix of parchment, vanilla, and something uniquely her. I miss the way she would tilt her head when she was deep in thought, or the way she'd bite her lip when she was trying to suppress a smile. I miss her. Every part of her. And it's killing me.
Sitting in Herbology, I find myself next to Lovegood, the least threatening of Y/n's friends—the only one I might have a chance of talking to without getting hexed into oblivion.
"Hey, Luna. Can we talk after class?" I ask, trying to keep my voice steady.
"That'd be lovely," she responds dreamily. "We can talk in the library. Neville asked me to pick up some books about a plant he's struggling with."
The rest of the class is a blur. My fingers itch to reach for Y/n, to beg for her forgiveness, but instead, I clench my fists and force myself to focus. As soon as class is dismissed, Luna and I make our way to the library. She busies herself scanning the shelves while I sit, mentally bracing myself.
"So, what is it that's on your mind, Draco?" she asks, her fingers trailing over the spines of books.
I hesitate before speaking. "Has Y/n... talked to you? About us? About what happened?"
"No," she says simply, still facing the books. "Why? Is something wrong?"
I swallow hard, my throat dry. "Luna... I hit Y/n."
She stills. Her hand hovers over a book, fingers curling slightly. A tense silence stretches between us. Then, in the blink of an eye, she grabs her wand, enchants the book, and hurls it straight at my head.
I barely manage to duck as it crashes against the wall behind me.
"Luna! Bloody hell! That could've—"
She doesn't let me finish. Another book soars through the air, aimed directly at my face.
"Incarcerous!" she shouts.
Before I can react, thick ropes snake around my wrists, binding them tightly. She marches toward me, yanking me up by the hair before dragging me—quite literally—out of the library.
"Luna, stop! Where are we going?!"
She doesn't answer. The corridors blur as students turn to gawk, but Luna's grip is iron-tight. Before I can process what's happening, we burst into the Gryffindor common room.
Fred, George, Neville, and Hermione are scattered around, working on homework. Their heads snap up at our dramatic entrance.
"Luna, did you get the—" Neville starts, but his words die when he sees me bound and being dragged across the room.
"Bloody hell, Luna, why are you dragging Draco like a sack of potatoes?" George asks, raising an amused brow.
"Are his wrists tied up?" Fred grins. "Luna, you cheeky little—"
A book flies at him, courtesy of Kelsey.
"Shut it, Fred. Luna's with Neville," she says.
Neville frowns. "Why is he tied up, love?"
