If I just keep working I don't have to acknowledge anything. I work out with him once a week and besides that it's like we hardly know eachother.

"Are you free tonight?"

I about jump out of my skin. I peer over my shoulder seeing the pro himself leaned against my cubical wall, "We have the gym tomorrow I thought"

"I know but...I'd like to see my girlfriend more than once a week" he mumbled emphasizing the word girlfriend.

I guess we should hang out more for this, "Im free after work"

His wings ruffled excitedly, "You about on lunch?"

"Yes, I brought my own"

"Good good, meet me in my office with it" he turned on his heel and left without any further conversation.

Once I reach a stopping point I grabbed my bag lunch from the break room and took the elevator to his office. The door was open when I arrived and he waved me in.

"Close the door behind you, we need to chat in private"

I close the door before joining him on the couch. He had his lunch already out and was chowing down.

"Pam said we needed to get our story. Don't want to get caught over small details about our relationship" he spoke between bites of chicken

"Ok, so what would we need to get straight?"

He rubbed his chin in thought, "Well... first off I was not the one to hire you. We'll say Pam did. Secondly, let's say the relationship is very new"

"That works for me" I shrug eating my own lunch feeling particularly starved since forgetting my breakfast... again.

"So, Tell me about yourself. I should probably know my girlfriend" he chuckled

Every detail of my entire life is gone, brain empty, "Um...well it suits our story that we don't know eachother that well" I chuckle nervously, "I don't open up very fast"

He frowned slightly but he perked up grabbing a thin black box on the coffee table before sliding it over to me, "Well, I also have this for you"

"What's this?" I look at it curiously

"Open it and you'll see"

I pinched my brows pulling off the top. A red feather was in a clasp attached to the necklace, "One of your feathers?"

He nodded excitedly setting his food down to grab it out of the box, "One from yours truly. I picked the shiniest one" He fastened it around my neck for me.

"Why?" I raise a brow

"Since everyone will think you are my girlfriend you will most likely be targeted by villains trying to get to me. So here is one of my feathers so if you're ever in trouble I'll know"

"Wait. How can you do that through a feather?"

"I thought you didn't want to get to know me?" He smirked

I roll my eyes playfully at his smirk and went back to my food.

His little hum caught my attention before he spoke, "In our story, have we fucked?"

I about did a spit take, "What? No!" I snort

"Just wanted to get the story straight. According to the media I did fly us off into a residential area"

"To sweetly drop me off at home"

"Where you didn't try to seduce me" he nodded

My face felt hot, "Correct, where that never happened and we never even mention it" I clear my throat awkwardly
