Realization

Nathan's POV

Coming home I felt so drain like even more tired than when I come home from practice. I opened the front door, and my mom greeted me "Hey hun. How was school?"
I looked at her and said "It was ok , just tired" "Well if your tired you have a few hours before dinner about taking a nap"?. I started heading towards the stairs "Ok, what are you making for dinner?" "Steak and mashed potatoes with veggies", she said as I was walking up the stairs. I walked into my room and closing the door behind me, I literally fell face first on my bed and laid there for a few minutes, just when I was about to fall asleep my big brother Calvin comes in "Yo Nate check out this sick beat I made". I picked my face up from the the pillow and say "Calvin I am fucking tired please just let me sleep" He looked at me with wide eyes "What's wrong with you?", I looked away "nothing" I said mumbling "Really nothing because when your this air quote tired that means something wrong". I turned back at him my eyes slightly wide and he sat on my bed pushing my feet off the bed. It was quiet for few,I went to grab the bottle of water on my night stand next to my bed because all of sudden my throat went dry,as I drinking the water my brother said "The last time I saw you like this is when Susie Williams didn't accept your three page poem for Valentine's Day when you were in sixth grade. I started choking on the water and my brother started laughing, I looked at him angrily "wait Haha no way you got rejected again" he said while laughing, after I cleared my throat I said "No I didn't get rejected" I said punching him in the arm so he can stop laughing at me "Ouch... then please enlighten me on this situation please" he said looking at me. I looked at him questioning myself if I should tell him or not "I didn't get rejected, I think I might like someone but they already dating someone and I don't what to do", Calvin looked at me and said "Ok well tell me who she's and the whole situation surrounding her" I looked to the floor and started thing to my 'Would he think at I'm disgusting for liking Gabriel' out of nowhere Calvin spoke "Wow you must really like this girl since she has you like this" " It's not She it's He" I said looking at my feet. Calvin looked at me " Ok well who is he that he has you like this and please don't tell it's your best friend Justin because he is weird", I quickly looked up at him "So you don't care that I might have feelings for a guy", Calvin started laughing at me "Might HAHA might bro you do I like him, never have seen you like this you looked worse than when Susie rejected you and no I don't care who you like gender doesn't matter when it comes to liking someone". I felt relieved when he said that "So aren't you gonna tell me what's going on with this guy?", "Ok so his name is Gabriel and he's new in school and I just.... I don't know like we met in P.E and played ball right, but at first I didn't feel anything but then when I asked him and his friend who now his boyfriend to play ball after school we had like a moment on court while his now boyfriend wasn't there. We fell and I landed top of him and then it felt like the world just stopped and at that moment he looked so beautiful, but that was like a week ago but what's crazy is that during that whole time after that moment I didn't feel anything but when I saw him today I just so light and happy" I said looking away knowing that I was blushing. Calvin took and deep breath and sighed "Woah your down bad, and number two I think you wanna drop the I might like him ,because you do like him, and number three what are you gonna do about it? Are you gonna tell him or are you just gonna keep quiet?", I looked at him shocked "What do you mean what am I gonna do about.... nothing he has a boyfriend and they look happy" "Dude he has a right to know about it, when I asked you what are you gonna do about it I mean are you gonna try to win him over". I stood up from the bed basically yelling at him "You want me to become a home wrecker are out of your mind I can't do that if he's happy then he's happy, I couldn't and wouldn't take on that guilt of being the reason two people broke up". Calvin got up from the bed heading to the door "All is fair in love and war" he said  laughing while leaving my room, I closed the door behind him and laid on my bed again, Calvin is crazy I couldn't do that matter how much I like him. I froze and finally had the epiphany 'I like Gabriel'
