My Twins

Three

At lunch me and Jacob sit at our table, Jacob opens a bag out chips and pops one into his mouth. He looks up and then looks at me. "Twins" He says quickly. I look back and sure enough Noah and Jonah are behind me. But instead of placing food in front of me they both sit on opposite sides of me. Noah slides apple slices in front of me again and Jonah places peanut butter next to the plate again. "T-Thank y-you" I stutter with a blush. "Going to introduce me to your new friends Knox?" Jacob asked. I grab an apple slice and take a small bite. "Nope" I mumble. "You do like apples and peanut butter right?" Jonah asked softly. I nod my head and smile at him softly.

I feel a hand rest on my thigh and I look away from Jonah over to Noah. "You're single" He said. I look at him confused, was that a question of a statement. "Come again" I ask. "Are you single?" He asked. "Uh y-yes" I answer. I pick up another apple slice and dip in the peanut butter taking a bite. "May I know your names?" Jacob asked. Noah glares at him and Jonah just ignores him, I give Jacob a small smile and swallow. "This is Jonah" I say pointing at Jonah. He grabs my hand in his interlocking our fingers and I blush. "The other is Noah" I said. "Eat lunch ends soon" Noah demands. Me and Jacob continue to eat and Noah and Jonah stay by me.

After school I stand at the front looking down at my English test I just took. A 78%. What is wrong with me? I don't understand I always get above a 90%. Dad is gonna yell at me when I get home... I look up and wipe my face trying to calm down. I feel a hand on my back and I jump a little, I turn and see Jonah. "Everything okay?" He asked softly. I shake my head and hold up my test to him, he takes it and looks at me confused. "It's a good grade, what's wrong with it" His soft voice calms me a little. "No, that is a bad grade, dad is going to be mad at me" I mumble. He frowns and gently places a hand on my cheek. "Want to take your mind off it? Me and Noah would like to take you out to dinner" He admits. I blush, "I have to text my mom first" I said. "I will get Noah" He whispers then walks back into the school. I pull out my phone and text my mom telling her I'm going to a friends house to study.

A few minutes later Jonah and Noah walk out, Jonah takes my hand and smiles softly at me. "Let's go" He says pulling me. We get into a car and Noah drives somewhere, he stops at a nice looking restaurant and then we get out. "I don't think I'm dressed right" I mumble. Noah grabs my chin making me look at him. "What you are wearing is fine" He says. We walk in and Noah walks up to the lady, "Booth for three" He said. The lady nods and leads up to a booth in the way back away from everyone. "Your waiter will be with you shortly" She says then walks away. It was a curved booth so Noah and Jonah sat on each side of me. "Order whatever you like" Jonah said opening his menu.

I open mine and my eyes widen at the prices. "No, this is to much" I say. Noah takes my menu and scowls at me, "I was going to order for you anyways" He grumbles. "Wha- hey" I frown. A guy walks over to us and smiles pulling out a pen. "Hello, my name is Jamie can I start you guys off with some drinks?" He asked. "Water" Jonah says. "Water and..." Noah looks at me and I blush. "W-water" I stutter. "Three waters and are you ready to order or do you need more time?" Jamie asked. "More time" Noah said. Jamie winks at me then walks off. Jonah glances at me but looks away balling his fists. "Jonah" I softly say. "I'm fine, I'll be right back" He mumbles then gets up. Noah grabs my arm and I look over at him. "He is okay, just let him breath and be alone" He said.

After awhile Jonah comes back looking calmer and he gives me a soft smile. "Sorry" He says sliding back into the booth. "It's okay" I say. He takes my hand in his and interlocks our fingers. Jamie walks back to our booth setting the water down, but he never meets my eyes. "Ready to order?" He asked looking at the ground. I glance at Noah and see him smirk. "Yes we are" Noah says.

"Thank you for picking my dinner! It was really good" I smile up at Noah and he nods. "I'm glad you enjoyed" Jonah says squeezing my hand. I blush and clear my throat. "Can I ask you guys something?" Noah glances at me. "You're going to ask anyways" He mumbles taking a sip of his water. "Why did you move here?" I ask. They don't say anything, Jonah grabs my chin and I look over at him. "We just wanted a change that's all" He answers. I lean closer to him and he cups my cheek. Our lips almost touch when Jamie walks up and holds out the check still not looking at me. Noah holds out his card and Jamie takes it walking away. "Thank you for dinner" I said with a smile. "Anytime" Noah says. After everything is paid Noah and Jonah take me home.
