Taehyung sighed and fixed the papers in which his music assignments were written. While he was working, he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." He spoke, focused on his work.
"Here, have this milk." His mom said, serving a glass of milk. He smiled slightly and said, "Thanks."
"Are you sure this music industry is for you? Your father also tried to pursue it... he failed." His mother said, concern visible in his voice.

He knew his mother was concerned and that's why she opposed him. At first, it was her mean words at times which he didn't get but with time, he also understood. His father also dreamt of being a musician but failed which made his father suffer. His mother was just worried.
"I'll complete that incomplete dream of my father, mom. And someone said I'll succeed, I believe what they said." He said, with a smile. His mom nodded with a sigh.
"Son, are you feeling well these days?" She asked as he smiled saying, "Hmm, I feel better than before."
"Jimin called me 2 days ago. He said you don't hang out with them. But you're always out of the house. What do you do?" His mom asked. He just bit his lips, wondering what to say.

"So... it's a friend who's special. I spend time with her." He said, trying not to smile.
"Her? A girl?? I didn't know my son liked making girlfriends?" His mom asked as he replied, "Mom! She's just a friend, chill."
"I wonder how long that'll last seeing your red cheeks but she better be a nice and kind girl who knows how to support my son." She said as he sighed. She smiled and left the room as Taehyung focused back on his work, taking a sip of the milk left by his mother.
"I wonder... when we can meet again."

---The Misty Cafe

You sat there, waiting for a while, wondering whether Taehyung would show up or not. No, you didn't plan any hangout but you really wanted to see him, you really did. But no sign of him. You weren't allowed to leave your house for almost a week because of the incident you had caused, and the first thing you wanted to do after getting out was to meet him. But no contact, how would've you planned a hangout? You sat there for 3 hours, not knowing if he was going to come. Sighing, you were about to order a black coffee but smiled a little, remembering the sugary drink Taehyung always bought you.
"A black coffee, please, with sugar." You said.

A soft smile played on your lips as you looked down, smiling. Soon, the coffee came as you mixed it with sugar. You tried to drink it, at first it tasted weird but it wasn't as bad as how it tasted without sugar.
You tried to finish the coffee while waiting. Another hour passed by. It was your 4th hour. You sighed realizing what you were doing. You were so eager to see him but maybe he wasn't coming.

You got up, walking towards the exit but your body jolted up and your heart dropped to your stomach when you saw him entering the cafe. He looked a little surprised to see you and smiled immediately saying, "Oh, Y/N!"
There was something in the way he called your name, you loved hearing it. You softly smiled and said, "Hey..."
"Are you leaving?"
He asked as you nodded, "Seems like.. you just came."
"Yeah, well, do you-"
He was talking but you quickly cut him off saying, "I'll go home now... I have something to do, I'm really busy. See you."

You dashed out of there, leaving a dumbfounded Taehyung. He just smiled a little and sighed, walking towards the counter to place an order.
"Oh... sir, the lady was waiting there for a long time. Are you with her today?" The waitress asked as he frowned asking, "Uh... sorry?"
"Oh. I thought you were with the lady. The lady you often come here with, she had been sitting here for the past 4 hours. Seemed like she was waiting for someone, I just assumed it would've been you."
The waitress's words made Taehung surprised. He stared at her for a moment before asking, "She was waiting for someone?"

"Yeah, I figured that was you.. sorry if I was wrong." The waitress spoke in an apologetic tone. Taehyung smiled and looked down before getting up, "Umm.. then I should make up for the wait I've made her do."
He walked out of the cafe, running to find you. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as he saw you walking slowly while looking at the people here and there.

You were quiet and calm but you flinched, feeling a hand on your shoulder.
"H-Hey!" Taehyung spoke, panting. You gulped, looking at him confused. He gave you an exhausted smile saying, "I had to run... s-sorry!"
"Why did you run here..?"
You asked, confused. He looked at you and straightened up saying, "Well, how could I not? You're the reason I went to the cafe."
"Huh?" You asked as he smiled saying, "I wanted to see you that's why I went there."

"Oh... I-" You didn't know how to react as he said, "Let's go to the garden. New flowers have bloomed."

You didn't even know how you were just there, in the flower garden, with him. He smiled and sat down, patting the place beside him as you sat down, looking at the flowers with a soft smile.
"Y/N..." He spoke, in a low voice as you asked, "Yes?"
"We didn't meet for so long. I waited in the cafe every day for you." He confessed as you looked down, wondering. Was it hard for him to wait for you like it was hard for you to wait for him?

He smiled and said, "You know, my mom says that she's just worried about me. My dad also did music but he couldn't establish a successful career and he suffered a lot, my mom thinks I might not be able to be successful. That's why she never supported me. But a few days ago, I fought with her. And I was really down, but then she confessed and I did too. Seemed like, she was just worried. I'm glad... I know her reason now. Though I wanted her to support me, I hope she trusts me one day."
You listened to him quietly and said, "I also trust you. And I know she will." He smiled, looking at you.

"Did you get a bad punishment?" He asked. You just lowered your head saying, "Grounded for a week... that was all. I did drawings at home."
"Oh... what drawings?"
He asked. You kept quiet. You didn't know how to respond to that, what would he think if you spoke the truth?
"Did you draw something secret?" He asked, squinting his eyes playfully at you as you looked away with a smile. He smiled back and said, "Hmm, maybe you want to tell me later."
You nodded as he said, "It's okay, I can wait. I'm good at patience.... though it's a lie. I'm not, so be fast."

You chuckled and nodded before looking at him, taking in his face. His small moles on his face, you were studying them. He noticed you and just looked away, not saying anything. It was as if he liked being looked at by you but it was making him feel restless as well.
You looked down, noting down the areas of his mole in your mind... memorizing the view you saw.
"Umm... Y/N. The university opens a day later. How do you feel?" He asked as you looked down saying, "We won't get much free time anymore."
"Can we meet during lunch hours at University?"
He asked as you looked down, asking, "Don't you have other friends..?"

"I do but I like you the most." He confessed and it was true. Out of all the friends he's ever had, he only liked you the most. You were the one who attracted him the most.
You looked down flustered and said, "You're the only friend I have."
"Then, I can introduce you to my friends, they're nice. But... not as nice as me though!"
He said as if trying to convince you in advance. You chuckled and said, "Alright. It'd be good... I'll introduce you to my artworks instead."
"Sounds better than meeting people."
He spoke, with a soft smile.

It was afternoon, a bright day in fall. Fall was going to end in a month, this year's fall wasn't as dark as the other years, rather it was bright and sunny. Mostly on the days, you were with him.

---Time skip

"See you at University, then." He said, with a smile. You nodded and said, "See you... enjoy your vacation's last day well."
He loved it, he loved it when you wished him something. Even if it was a memorized line, he loved it. If it was from anyone else, he wouldn't have paid much attention but knowing it was you, who wasn't the type to say these but still tried, he felt his heart warming up. You were trying, to be a better friend to him, he felt it.
"I can't wait to see you at University." He said, pinching your cheeks and backing away repeating, "I really can't."

You smiled at his disappearing figure and muttered, "Me too..."
