Chapter 3 - she doesn't understand

Basil's words seemed impactful for Sunny. Though after what he has done to him Sunny couldn't help, but feel at last a little bad for Basil. "So much has happened... He even had to enter my dreams just to be with me... Whatever that even means..." Sunny thought to himself. Basil stood up. He was teary eyed as he tried his best not to cry. "Basil, I...." Hearing Sunny's voice Basil raises his head just to see him. "Ahaha... Ahaha..." Basil weakly laughs to himself in relief. "S-so you... You really haven't left me yet... I'm so glad..." Basil seemed out of breath as he gently hugged Sunny. Though Sunny couldn't find himself being able to forgive Basil he still hugged him back.

"Hey... Sunny..?" Basil ended the hug and looked him directly in the eye. "Yes?" 

"Do you love me...?"

These words seemed to quite make an impact on Sunny. After hearing that he had no choice, but to answer with yes as saying no would make things worse. "Yes... I do..." Now knowing that Basil's love interest has finally confessed Basil couldn't help, but feel amazing. Not only knowing that Sunny loves him, but also that Basil won't have to risk another person's life knowing that Sunny will never leave him. "Now then, Sunny... I want you to say my name!"

"S-Say your name? How is that even-" Before Sunny could finish his sentence Basil pulled out his gardening sheers and pointed them at Sunny's neck. 

"Say.My.Name."

Sunny gulped and inhaled trying to hold in the amount of fear and stress in the moment. "B-Basil... Basil!" Basil giggled in an unpleasant tone. "Kyahahahahahaha! Yes, Sunny! You understand me! Our unbreakable contract in now signed! We can finally be together forever!" Basil gave Sunny a kiss while putting away his gardening sheers.

"So... Today I want you to go out with me~" Sunny had a puzzled expression. "B-But didn't we only become a couple yesterday?" Basil interlocked his and Sunny's hands together. "Shhh! I know we are new to this whole relationship... But I've always felt like you were my boyfriend from the very beginning!" 

"What do you mean?" Basil clears his throat. "Well... you see... I've been stalking you recently... And Uhm... Since you felt so close to me I already felt like we were together forever!" Sunny gulped and backed away slowly. "Ah... I see..." Basil pulls Sunny up from the bed and hugs him. "Well then, Sunny... Since you are such a trustworthy friend of mine. I will leave the location of the date up to you~"

"Huh? Why? W-Why am I taking responsibility?" Basil lets go of Sunny as he tumbles down back onto the bed. "My my! Do you really wish for your boyfriend to do all of the work again? Ohhhh.... How greedy of you~" 

"Huh? Greedy..?" Basil grabs Sunny's hand and pulls him again out of the bed making him stand. "Alright then, Sunny! I'll give you some time to think about this... You have an hour, Sunny..." Basil then left the room. shivers went down Sunny's spine. "Right... So I should think of a good date place just for me and Basil..." Sunny thinks to himself as he lets out a sigh.

"Well? Have you picked out a special place yet?" Basil leaned closer to Sunny as he slightly backs away. "Yeah... I was wondering if we could have a regular date by just walking around faraway town..."

"Hmm.... I'm not used to regular walks like those so okay! I do love you after all~" instead of being live struck Sunny feels discomfort from Basil saying 'I love you'

Basil puts his shoes on and so does Sunny. Unlocking the front door Sunny allows Basil to go out first. "Oh! H-how kind of you~" Sunny then closes the door behind him and locks it. "Well then! Were are we heading?" Sunny looks away. "I-don't know... maybe let's go to the playground where we used to play?" Basil nods. "That sounds lovely!" Sunny exhales and looks forward as they approach closer to the playground.

Suddenly they see a familiar figure standing there. It was Aubrey and the hooligans. Aubrey noticed Sunny and she didn't think much. That was until she saw Basil with him. As soon as Basil saw Aubrey he interlocked his fingers with Sunny so that Aubrey could see that they were dating.

"What? What are you two doing here?" Basil glares at Aubrey trying to make her uncomfortable so that she could leave. "Nothing much... Did I do something wrong again, Aubrey?" Aubrey shakes her head. "No... not exactly..." Aubrey slightly lifts that bat towards herself knowing that Basil could be a threat noting what happened last time. "Hey, Aubrey. Isn't that the boy who we used to bully all the time? Oh... and isn't that the guy who accompanied us to your house...?" 

Aubrey nods. "Yeah.. they are the ones..." Sunny didn't say anything, but he had a feeling that Basil was going to hurt Aubrey so he slightly moved away just in case anything bad will happen to him as well. "What is it now, Basil? Do you want 'alone time' with Sunny again? Your just gonna tell us to piss off! Aren't you, Basil?" Though Basil felt threatened he still agreed that what Aubrey just said was the truth.

"Yeah... sure... it's the truth..." Basil looks away as he hears another familiar voice from the gang. "Wasn't this the lowly fool that used to be an embarrassing sight to us?" The maverick leans closer to Aubrey. "Yeah... it is..."

"Listen here, Basil! If you are looking for a fight then just bring it on already! It won't even be worth winning if we're up against some dweeb like this..." Basil moves closer and pulls out his gardening sheers. The whole gang turn their faces to the pair of sheets in Basils hands in utter shock. "Listen here! I have had enough of you're stupid threats!" Basil swings his sheets towards Aubrey hoping to cut her at least a little however she dodged. 

"Aubrey, we should go!" One of the gang members tries to convince Aubrey however she won't listen. "You guys go away! I will deal with the matter on my own!" Aubrey turns her head towards them. ".... If you say so..." they all exit the playground and go to their usual hang out spot.

"Basil! What is wrong with you! Do you have any idea what you are doing?" Basil nods as a response to Aubrey and swing the gardening sheets towards her again, but she dodged the attack. "Sunny is watching you! Imagine how big of a terrible person you look like now?" Basil let's out slight tears. Despite the fact that he has changed the shy and introverted soul still lives within him.

"You don't understand our love!" He stabs his sheers directly at Aubreys face, but someone pulls her away. "Aubrey, are you alright...? I knew something was off..." it was Kim. She held Aubreys hand tightly in hopes that she won't let go. "Oh... Kim... Thank you..." Basil groans in despair knowing that now Sunny sees him as a weak person since he couldn't even hurt Aubrey in even the slightest. "Ugh! Why? Why can't I just win this? I wish you never would've even appeared here in the first place!" Aubrey fights back. "Why are you dating Sunny anyway? I have a feeling he doesn't even want to be in that relationship!" 

Hearing that Basil slowly turns towards Sunny and walks up to him. "Y-you do love me... right?" Sunny gulps as he doesn't want to tell the truth. Knowing that Basil could hurt him if he said no. "Yes... I love you..." He turns to Aubrey and runs up to her pointing his sheers at her. "See? H-he loves me! He literally loves me!" 

"I dunno... something about their relationship seems sketchy.... What do you think, Aubrey?" Aubrey nods and walks closer to Basil. "Fine.. we'll go away... if that's what you want." They both silently walk away to the destination where their friends were. Basil waited for them to completely go out of his sight.

He turns his head to Sunny. "Don't mind her, Sunny... She doesn't understand how much we love each other..." Basil kisses Sunny. He feels that Sunny is uncomfortable, but he doesn't say anything about it.
