A/N: I highly recommend everyone go listen to Beethoven 9 haha, especially the 4th movement (it's only 20 min long). Seriously you will understand the emotions I'm talking about in the first part here. It slaps. You can picture Nick singing in sexy German. The men's section makes me ascend to another plain of reality. And if you hate it you can judge me for being a music nerd.

The concert was a blur. Every time Charlie looked at Nick singing his heart out he felt a rush of joy, combined with performing such an exhilarating piece it left him feeling high by the end.

The choir sang the final notes in a register so high it was like they were reaching for the heavens, and the orchestra raced through the finale, getting faster and faster until it seemed like the sound might crash into itself, but instead it concluded in a dramatic sweep of chords that rang out through the hall for several seconds in the silence until the maestro lowered his hands.

The audience cheered and Charlie felt himself smiling hard, he felt amazing. He watched the soloists bow and Nick glanced back and caught his eye, beaming. Charlie wanted to cry at how proud of him he was.

Even though they had met only a few weeks ago Charlie already felt like he had known Nick forever. There was such an instant connection. He felt so safe with Nick, like nothing and no one could ever hurt him again...

He still couldn't believe what he had done earlier that night, he cringed a little at how stupid and risky it had been. But thank GOD Nick had kissed him back. Nick LIKED him.

It was almost too good to be true. Charlie wondered if after this weekend of concerts the magic would die down and Nick would get tired of him. He pushed the thought away as the orchestra rose to bow and instead focused on Nick's beautiful smile.

Audience and musicians milled about in the lobby, offering congratulations. Charlie hugged his grandparents and laughed along as they raved about the show. He spotted Nick through the crowd with a group of people, all blonde like him. One woman was shouting about her nephew being a PROFESSIONAL SOLOIST and Nick was looking embarrassed.

Nick noticed Charlie and eagerly beckoned him over.

"Charlie, is that one of your friends?" his grandmother asked

"... Uh yeah, the baritone soloist" Charlie stammered

"Well you have to introduce us!"

So they forced their way through the throngs of people towards Nick. But the look Nick was giving Charlie as he approached made him feel like they were the only two people in the room.

"Hi"

"Hi" Charlie resisted the urge to kiss Nick in front of all these people.

"Son you were WONDERFUL" Charlie's grandfather exclaimed, shaking Nick's hand. "And this must be your family, you all must be so proud"

"You ok?" Charlie whispered to Nick as their family members chatted.

Nick squeezed his hand "I feel incredible, I don't know why I was so nervous before"

"And we get to do it all again tomorrow," Charlie laughed.

"I've got to entertain my guests tonight, when can I see you... alone?" Nick asked turning a bit red

Charlie could feel his heartbeat in his eardrums, and the noise of the crowd suddenly pressed itself into his brain. He didn't know what Nick had in mind, whether it was a serious talk... or something physical... Both options made him anxious.

"...Charlie?"

"Oh! Uh... do you want to maybe come over for breakfast tomorrow?" Charlie said. Meeting at his place made him feel more in control for some reason.
