Corey and I have been best friends since we met playing Pee-wee hockey against each other. Now starting your freshman year of college, the first time Corey and I have ever not gone to the same school, let alone been away from each other since we where kids. Corey had just moved to Chicago where he was drafted for the Hawks, I however went to college at Harvard, I was their starting Goalie.

"Caitlyn", I promise ill visit every chance I get."

"Promise?" I whispered as we leaned against each other waiting to board our respective flights.

"How could I not see the girl I love?" He chuckled and held me tighter.

"I'm sure ill hear about you and some girl within a week of you starting to play for the Hawks"

"I doubt"

"Why not?"

"I have my reasons." With that he left to board his flight to the Windy City.

That was about two months ago, we still talked on the phone and sometimes skyped but he was busy with training camp, and telling me ALL about this girl he is falling hard for. Oddly enough i've never seen her photo or known her name, and he tells me EVERYTHING about the girls he dates.

"Hey you busy tonight Caitlyn?" Corey's text to me read.

"No why you wanna skype tonight?"

"Yea, around 7 your time?"

"Sounds like a date ;) " I smirked

"Bby" With that our text conversation ended, so now i'm sitting here 8:00 and he hasn't even came online yet, I called him.

"Hey did something come up?"

"Yea sorry it turned out i had other plans" I could hear him mumbling to someone else, must have been his girlfriend.

"A date with your girlfriend?"

"No just something came up" I heard him say thanks and heard some doors open. "You home?"

"Yea i'm home corey" There was a knock on my door. "Hold on corey Someone's at my door" I opened it to see Corey standing there with roses in his hand and wearing a tux.

"You know that girl i was telling you about that i was madly in love with?"I nodded. "I was talking about you, I love you Caitlyn" With that I took the roses from his hand and kissed him, something ive been waiting to do since i figured out I was in love with Corey Crawford
