Today was June 2nd, which was a Tuesday. Alyssa hated Tuesdays. Every Tuesday she had to take her little brother, Jacob to baseball practice. Today was no different, and as alyssa walked down the stairs she could hear her mothers voice. " Hurry up or your gonna be late!" She stepped in to the kitchen where her mother and brother were waiting. A lunch box was shoved into her hands and she was ushered out the door. Alyssa and Jacob hopped on there bikes and road the 3 blocks to the fields. As they arrived alyssa looked across the street.In the place of the once drive in theater, now stood a row of trailers, people, and cameras. Her best friend Celia was an actor, and had scored a role in the new movie being filmed in town. Celia had been ecstatic for weeks. Alyssa was happy for her she was, but while her friends were out enjoying their summer she was stuck watching 7 year olds play baseball. Jacob parked his bike and ran to catch up with his team. " see you in a hour" Alyssa called after him. She had decided to call Celia and see if she was on set. She dialed the number and let it ring, on the second ring Celia picked up. "Hey girl, what's up?". "I'm taking Jacob to practice and saw the set across the street are you over there?" Alyssa questioned. "Yea! Come on over to my trailer, it's C69". Alyssa agreed and hung up. She grabbed her bike and parked it by a tree then ambled across the street. Alyssa and her family had gone to the theater frequently when she was a kid, but it had been poorly managed and closed a couple years back. Now where the concessions use to stand, stood a row of trailers of various size. She eyed C69 and started towards it. All of a sudden out of nowhere a boy came crashing in to her. "Watch where your going!" She exclaimed pushing the figure off of her. Obviously embarrassed the boy stood up and brushed of the dirt. He offered his hand to her but she ignored the gesture, and helped herself up. Turning on her heal she fast walked away from the dirty blond haired boy who had crashed into her. As she entered Celia's trailer she was still shaken over the incident. Suddenly Celia appeared in the small room with a face full of makeup and her hair clipped up. " what happened ?" She asked. Looking down at herself Alyssa realized she was still covered in a layer of dust. "Some guy ran in to me outside" she half laughed while brushing off the dirt."are you ok?"Celia asked, walking over to the couch. "Yea just shocked me, that's all" Alyssa responded plopping down next to her. "So tell me your summer plans"Celia inquired. Alyssa embarrassed replied "umm, nothing". "WHAT!?" Celia hopped up from the couch. "We're going to a party tonight!" Celia exclaimed. Dashing into the back room she called "pick you up at 7, be ready!". With a concoction of emotions Alyssa headed for the door.
