Clara's Nightmare

For the first time in months, I experienced a nightmare. I was fifteen again, helping my brother escape our burning house. "Clara, why is our house on fire?!" Ciel demanded. "I don't know, Ciel. We need to leave here and find somewhere safe." I held on to his hand to ensure he did not fall behind.

We both ran down the hall while trying to not inhale any smoke. Mother and Father told us to get out of the house and they would catch up to us. "No matter what happens, stay together!" Mother shouted. "We love you both!" Father also shouted.

Pieces of the roof started to fall, and our parents' screams of pain were heard. This was the worst way Ciel could have spent his birthday. "MOTHER! FATHER!" We screamed in despair and tears.
Suddenly, creepy shadows appeared all around us. "The Phantomhives must end." They all said in horrible distorted voices.
Ciel and I were paralyzed with fear as dangerous people surrounded and kidnapped us. The men put sacks over our heads and threw us in the back of a carriage. "Now, if you kids try anything to escape, then it'll be instant death for ya." a gruff voice threatened. Both me and Ciel were crying out of fear.

"Please, let us go." Ciel begged through his tears. "Shut up, boy!" the man slapped him in the face, and that's when my anger reached its peak, "YOU DON'T TOUCH HIM!" I struggled to get out of my bonds and I headbutted my captor in the face as hard as I could, and then something struck me on the head, knocking me out.

The nightmare cut to me and Ciel in a cage, being interrogated and branded, and suddenly; all our captors were mysteriously killed.
I woke up in a start, and my heart was pounding. I was fearful.

"SEBASTIAN!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and I began to hyperventilate. In the blink of an eye, my butler appeared in my room with concern in his red eyes, "What troubles you, my sweet?" "I had a terrifying nightmare," I sniffed and wiped my tears away. "Come here, little dove." he invited, holding his arms out to me. Without hesitating, I got out of my bed and rushed to his embrace. I began crying in his arms, "I'm frightened." I sobbed.
He tightened his hug to let me know I was safe, and he began stroking my hair.

His fingers passed through my hair as he kissed my forehead gently. "There is no need to be afraid, Clara. Nothing will harm you as long as I am with you; which is always." he whispered sweetly to calm my nerves. I looked up at him adoringly and gave him a grateful kiss on the lips. Just being near him calmed my stress. Sebastian touched my cheek before kissing me back. "Never forget how much I love you." "I love you too, Sebastian. So much," I smiled up at him. He smiled back at me, "There's your beautiful smile. My beautiful princess."
