Jason's POV
I slowly walk outside following the man in front of me. It really is a beautiful day.
"Hey kid, you are new in town right?"
"Yes"
"What pack are you from? Are you a rogue or something?"
"Hmm.. I like to think of myself as a lone wolf to be honest"
"I am Beta of the Silver Forest Pack. This little town is in neutral land now but we like to keep a close eye over newcomers. So keep in mind that if you cause any troubles..let's say that things are not going to be very nice for you. I don't like rogues near our borders"
"Oh.. don't mind me. I'm just travelling"
I look as the man turns his back and leaves heading to a black SUV.
"Hey Mike! Wait for me" i heard a silky voice and i turn my head to see a beautiful young lady running towards him. I stopped for a second just to admire her beauty but then i saw another man close to the girl with something shiny in his hand..so i did the only logical thing I could do..i put myself between that man and the girl just as I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. The man was shocked..his initial target was the girl.. but as soon as he realised what happened he started to run.
My first intention was to kill the bastard on the spot.. but I didn't want to scare this beauty that was now looking at me with her huge beautiful eyes...so I decided to let him go for now.
"OMG" the girl shouted "Are you ok?" "Mike help me"
The Beta run towards me and the girl.
I raised my hand to get the knife out of my shoulder.. but then I thought that is silver coated in wolfsbane..
"OMG" the girl shouted again "We must take him to the pack hospital quick".
"I can't take a rogue into the pack territory without Alpha's permission"
"I don't care Mike he saved my life. Let me deal with dad"
Ok.. so maybe this knife is going to stay a little bit longer in my shoulder..I am really curios now about this girl. If i pull it out now and just casually walk away they would know something is not right.. on the other hand if a doctor will see my wound healing almost on the spot thats not good either.. but I am a man of action not strategy so let's see were all this is going.
The girl gently took my hand and pulled me in the direction of the car.
"Are you ok? Thank you for saving my life!" She said but i almost didn't hear her fascinated by the way her touch feels on my hand. "Mike hurry please! I think the blade was poisoned"
We al got in the black SUV and the Beta stepped on the gas pedal..tires screeching and the next moment we were speeding across the coastline.
It took him 20 minutes to arrive at a white building and the girl took my hand again "Let's go" she said.
"Can I ask your name?" i said as we were heading inside the building a nurse quickly came towards us.
"Jane" she said " I will come to see you in a few hours. Just please get better"
The nurse took me to a cabinet and than she left in a hurry.
I looked out the big window in front of me. This is one of the oldest pack's but now it seems smaller than back in the days. Also why are this wolves worrying about a small knife cut. It may be silver and wolfsbane but it is not something fatal for the average wolf..painful maybe but thats all.
I heard that girl calling the Alpha dad.. I wonder who the Alpha is.
