Chapter 4

Jason's POV

I start walking in the direction of the PackHouse thinking about Jane. Something about her seems different. Maybe meeting the royals is not such a good ideea right now. I am more interested in Jane anyway.

"Hey there" i heard a girls voice. "I am Ana. Jane told me to keep you company and show you around since she is bussy with official business right now"

"Hey Ana. Nice to meet you. I am Jason."

Ana started to walk in the oposite direction of the PackHouse.

I sensed that she is a low rank wolf, an Omega as they are called. But she was very nice and she was telling me about their pack as we headed towards the forest.

"As the royals are visiting us and you are a visitor i think that is best for you to keep your distance for now" she told me

"Oh, and you think that is the right thing to do to show a visitor your pack?"

"Jane told me so" she answered as her voice trembled a little.

"How nice of her. Ana what can you tell me about the royals that are here? Have you seen them?"

" Only from a distance. I am an omega so a low rank such as me is not allowed in their presence.
The king and queen are visiting our pack after some incidents that took place near our border."

"What kind of incidents" i asked

"Nobody knows for sure, and i don't think i can tell you more about them. I heard only rumors but it apears something dangerous is lurking somewhere around our pack"

We walk in the forest for almost an hour as she was telling me about her pack and about her Alpha who seem to be a strict but fair man.

"Anyway, do you want to eat something?" She said with a huge smile.

"Sure" i said.

But something was not right. I had a feeling that someone was watching me. I heard a twig snap.

Ana turned to me with fear in her eyes. "I heard something" she said and right then a huge man appeared from the bushes.

"Sorry to disturb you miss" he said " I am Teo, head of king guards. I was just cheking the perimeter"

"It's been a long time Jason" he said to me.

"To long Teo. What are you doing here?"

"I am guarding the king these days" he said with a laugh

"And what brings the king here"

"Oh..that is something interesting..something is lurking in those woods and killing inocent people and also the king came here to propose an arangement between this pack and the royal pack"

"And what that might be?

"He wants one of his generals to mary the Alpha's daughter and in exchange he will provide protection of this pack. The poor girl have not seen the guy yet, and i have to tell you that he is old as fuck..only if someone could save her" he said with a laugh.

"That's horrible" Ana shouted. "How can you laugh?"

"Tell me Teo, your king still respects the old ways?

"He is not my king and you know it" he said with a smirk. "And yes he does"

"Good" i said. "Then lets go and save this damsel in distress"

"What are you going to do against the king" Ana said with tears in her eyes.

"Oh don' wory. I am just going to ask him nice."

"Teo, tell the king that this pack is protected" i said as a spark of lightning flashed in my eyes " oh..and also tell him that you no longer work for him"

"Yes my lord" he said with pride in his voice "what about the girl?" He asked as he saw her jaw drop when she heard us.

"Kill her" i said
