It was that time again, lunch. A certain second-year class, like most others, just used the time to hang out with friends and take a bit of a breather. Though some used the time to cram for tests which were to be blamed mostly on them.
A small group of people, led by one Kazuma Kamijo, known as the typical bully and troublemaker in his class, made their way toward the opened classroom door. Only to then bump into an invisible magic barrier, knocking him on his butt as the other two with him as well as the rest of the class, look on in confusion.
In the corner of the classroom, a black haired boy, along with an off-white colored short-haired girl sitting in front of him, stared at the fallen student. He was slightly annoyed, sighing before opening his mouth to speak.
Haru: That dumbass, what's he trying to pull this time. It's like everyday he's always trying to pull something.
This was Kanzaki Haru, someone who was well known in the class for just half-assing his work all the time, though some still don't get why he's still here as they've assumed he'd have dropped out already, which he hasn't.
Touka: Hey, Haru, didn't you say you wouldn't fall for his bait and stuff just last week?
Haru: Shut it Touka, that was last week, I've changed my mind.
Touka: Could you atleast give your dear old childhood friend some leeway here?
Haru: Not happening, well at least not right now anyway.
???: I see my dear Haru is still hanging with my little sister. Good grief you really should just come to me instead of her.
A feminine voice said as the person walked towards the pair.
Touka: Not sure if someone who kidnapped him in first year should be saying that, Airi.
Airi: My, calling me by name? Oh how I wish you hadn't become my rival dear sister.
The confrontation then was cancelled early by loud struggling noises from the rest of the class and those outside of the room trying to break down the barrier, some using chairs to try and break it. Haru was relieved that it was interrupted since he didn't want to deal with those two fighting again.
Although uncharacteristically he stepped up to help out the rest who were trying to break down the barrier, saying "If I get this done we can finally leave" as a bit of an excuse.
He then shouts at the rest of the class to move away, giving him a clear view of the barrier he needed to break, whilst he held someone's table as if it were a battering ram, then charged towards it.
As expected he didn't manage to break it, only getting the same rippling effect on the barrier everyone else who tried to break it got. A voice was then heard from outside, one belonging to the gym teacher, who was infamous for unparalleled strength in the school.
Gym Teacher: Alright then kids, let me show you how it's done.
He says as he prepares himself for a running tackle, then rushing to the barrier affected door, failing the same way the rest have. As he is left depressed because of it, another teacher suggests they try the windows, to which the students inside responded that they've tried that already to little success.
As the rest were losing hope due to their situation, Haru, who sat on a random student's chair was thinking what even created the barrier using that as a base to try and find a solution, as he was, colored pillars of light appeared, surrounding the students, inescapable ones at that.
His happened to be a light grey, he then looked over at some others, seeing that Touka's was a lemon yellow while Airi's was a light brown. He then saw his hands disintegrating observing the same thing happening to the rest, eventually they were all gone as the pillars and the barrier dissipated.
