In the lava-covered lands of hell, within the ruins of the formerly-homely and yet luxurious demon lord's palace. Ruins caused by the battle currently occurring at this very moment in time. A lone Kanzaki Haru stood against Deminas, the current reigning demon lord.
His face was overflowing with rage, rage that kept him going despite the brutal amount of damage he'd taken alongside a burnt looking hole through his chest, which had come earlier than the whole of this fight. A face that screamed that this would be his last stand.
The skin of the upper half of his torso had been destroyed with nearly nothing left behind. The same thing was true for half of his face and the entirety of his left arm. And the meat cleaver-like sword that was Käseschäler was nowhere to be seen, either it's been de-summoned or the weapon had been broken.
All that really remained was the blackened skeleton, a trademark of the Bone Kings apparently. Rather than blood dripping down, this damaged half emitted a red smoke similar to the smoke that came off of Decarabia, both in his usual skeletal state and from out of his wounds.
And on top of all that was Haru's signature red energy, coating this damaged half of his body with a more fiery-looking outer shell, similar to the third charge of his Käseschäler. Making a slight demonic howl as they crackled almost exactly like real flames.
He took a last deep breath, taking off what remained of his fur-collared coat, which had been burnt and damaged throughout the battle as well, and casting it to the side, before running towards the demon lord with everything he had left in him. Unsure if this somewhat suicidal effort will even result in a victory for him, and by extension, the mortal realm.
Just the night before this...
Fire, Screaming, and Wings flapping were sounds that completely dominated the kingdom of Vartos. Lava slowly ate away at its streets and people, the scalding melted rocks raining down the skies and spreading from all corners. All this destruction was caused by a single entity, a dragon.
This one was, like most dragons, on the nose with its abilities judging by the creature's appearance.
Its body was entirely made of lava, with a vague silhouette of a skeleton underneath. From the head down to even the dragon's talons, all scalding hot lava. Yet most of it, wings not included, was covered up by, of course, volcanic rock that also served to give the dragon a lot of its features. Such as horns, pupils, and even its tongue.
The dragon was perched upon the castle that sat in the very middle of the kingdom. It was the only building that he hadn't burnt down, likely to keep it stable enough for this exact reason alongside its use as a vantage point without the need for him to fly.
Though the dragon wouldn't sit there like a pet bird for long, as it flapped its wings, subsequently raining even more lava down on the buildings beside the castle, and began to fly off. Each sound of its wings flapping having the sound of flowing lava as their undertone.
Once he had reached a height he thought was enough, his body began to shift so it could fly laterally. And in no time at all did this dragon reach the very edge of the kingdom. Where it started the second half of its destructive mission as he opened his jaws and began to belch lava from it. He continued to do so as he flew around the perimeter of the kingdom, with some liberties of course, as his goal was to draw a circle rather than surround the formerly beautiful location in a moat.
After finally finishing it, the dragon flew even higher to see if it did look like a circle, or at the very least, enough like one before diving back down to the height he was at earlier and carrying on with drawing the next few bits. Flying up once it had finished to see if it was coming together nicely every now and again.
