chapter 19~

i walk into the kitchen and smell a super good smell.

waffles.

keep focused y/n. you need to talk to nick.

i dont see nick in the kitchen so i go over to the couch.

"nick?" i sit down next to him

"yeah y/n? whats up?" he says looking at the tv trying to find something to watch

"c-can you come with me real quick? i need to talk to you," i say still looking at nick

he turns his head to look at me. he wipes a single tear that has fallen down my face.

"are you okay? y/n?" he asks holding my cheek

"just-follow me," i get up and walk down the hallway to my room

"whats up with her nick?" karl asks as nick walks slowly behind me faced towards karl and alex

i can see out of the corner of my eye. nick shrugs and tuns back around to face me.

i shut my bedroom door and sit down on my bed, curled up, holding my legs.

"did i do something wrong? why were you crying? do you not wanna be my friend anymore?" nick asks many questions worryingly

"no no- you didnt do anything wrong. theres just something i need to tell you,"

nick looks confused and curious at the same time.

"so...ive been thinking. a lot. and a lot of the thinking was about-you," i look off to the side

"what do you mean?" he asks

i look back up at him and then blush,"i-i thought you might be mad at me for saying this-" i get cut off

"i would never get mad at you y/n," he smiles

"well..i-," i take a deep breath,"i dont want to be with alex anymore," my eyes water up

"im confused-but why were you thinking about-" i see the flicker in his eyes

i start to cry a little.

"i didnt know how to tell you this...but ive been thinking about you because-well because-i still have...feelings...for you..." i go really red

"y/n-" he blushes

"i didnt want to hurt your feelings by hurting your best friend..." i cry

"its okay y/n. im not mad. i-i still have feelings for you too-"

we make eye contact for about 3 seconds until we get closer. and closer. and closer-until our lips are touching and i feel like i did when i first kissed alex-but maybe better?...
