chapter 21~ LAST CHAPTER

|Quackity/Alex POV |

i should have known ever since that one time at lunch. nick, y/n and i were eating lunch until i noticed y/n and nick. they wouldnt stop talking. i stopped talking to see if they noticed. y/n noticed but i had to lie to her. even though i do really love her, i was mostly upset because of their relationship.
i knew they had dated a few years back and remained friends, but i somehow had a feeling that they still liked each other. i saw how jealous nick got when we were dating. i saw how he looked at her. and how y/n looked at him. i thought me and y/n were an unstoppable couple. but it turns out that we are no longer a couple.

i went to the laundry room to get my suitcase and pack all my things. karl was in his room playing minecraft and didnt even notice me grabing a couple items. i heard some sniffling but i thought i was imagining that. nick was probably with y/n in her room. i walk past the living room and grab my keys.

the house seemed silent for once.

"alex! dont leave please!" i see y/n with mascara running down her whole face

her red cheeks, sad face, crying eyes made her impossible not to stay to help her.

i dropped my things and went over to her.

"its all my fault. im so *sniffle* sorry alex! im so so sorry! i didnt mean to hurt you. please dont leave," she started sobbing really loudly

nick rushed down the hallway and came straight for y/n. he hugged her like i first did when we started dating. a careful, yet full passionate hug.

i stared at them for a minute and smiled.

this is what we were like. what we could have still been like.

"whats wrong y/n?!" karl comes rushing toward her

they are too busy with y/n they dont see me walk out the front door.

y/n gets a small glimpse of me before heading out the door. she still cried, but she had more saddness in her eyes than ever.

i hope she will be happier.
